Adding a step on the right side of a CK2610

They probably cheaped out on the new CKs. I believe the DKs are a higher end model. Yours probably even came with a stock floor mat!

Adding a step on the right side of a CK2610

Has anyone done this on their CK series tractor? With fender mount loader controls there is plenty of space to get on from the right side. Only 60 hrs in I can't count the number of times I "hoisted" myself on the right side already. Step is like 60$, just wondering if anyone has installed it on...

New wood chipper : guess the brand/model

Not a Titan either. My best description would be a supersized Woodmax TM-86H. Very similar, but with bigger, thicker flywheel, and most important, a bigger feed opening than the TM-86H. There really is nothing comparable in the market and I am glad I went through the trouble of sourcing it direct.

    What kind of Box Scraper?

I used to spin all 4 tires. Now with filled rears it's close, but I tend to stall before I lose traction. So I am putting all 25hp to the ground, just running out of steam with a full box. Edit : I tried this again, and it will pull the full 72" box in dry sandy loam, in low, very slowly. I got...

New wood chipper : guess the brand/model

No not a Betstco. My chute is perpendicular to the wheel, while the Betstco is at an angle. Lots of similarities of course. My feed box is 8"x8", the BX62R is 6.5x12. I suspect the angle feed needs more power per log inch, as you are exposing a bigger surface to the blades. Also looked at the...

New wood chipper : guess the brand/model

The high chute angle is both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand it is a bit of a work out to get full trees to engage the roller. On the other hand, it really helps to feed the small stuff. If I had to redesign I'd cut the angle in half, best of both worlds. Especially since I don't burn...

New wood chipper : guess the brand/model

The big difference is gravity feed vs variable rate hydraulic feed. The "chuck and duck" gravity feed chippers are really hard on the drivetrain, as they tend to make the log jump up and down, with way more impact force than variable rate hydraulic feed. They tend to eat shear bolts too. I guess...

Flail Mower Let's talk flail mowers

This my new flail mower, an AG-140. 54" cut, hydraulic side shift, 24 800g hammers. It strains the CK2610 a bit on startup, and I have to go slow in the thick stuff, but I am glad I went with the heavy duty version. I have "plowed" some not so flat areas, and while I have no rocks on the...

Ebay Pallet Forks? G2G or no?

Unless you want to do "creative" stuff with your forks, like pop out small trees or rocks. then the thicker forks give you a bit more safety net against bending. I have 48" forks 4k forks, and they are unwieldy, but I would not trade them for 42" at this point. More then once that extra 6 inches...

    What kind of Box Scraper?

I have a Woods BSM72P on my Kioti CK2610 (similar weight to your tractor). I wanted to make sure I could cover my tire width. It's heavy(680lbs), so it makes for decent ballast also. To be honest when full it is a bit much for my 25HP, and that is in soil. Rocks would probably stall it. I just...

New wood chipper : guess the brand/model

Correct, although to be fair I have chipped mostly garbage soft woods (poplars/willows/sumacs). But I do feel I could just slow it down a tad to chip hardwood. Wallenstein gravity feeds at an angle, and their hydraulic feed has a straight chute, like a Woodmax WM-8H (which may or may not be a...

New wood chipper : guess the brand/model

This is my new wood chipper. So far it has been very good. Hydraulic feed, variable rate, it will chip whole trees without limbing up to around 6".

    CK2610 HST filters doesn稚 match

Yeah I'm not eating the cost of the filter. I'll return it tomorrow, and get another gallon of oil (just put in 2.5l, and I can't even see it on the diptstick). They also owe me the stock drawbar for the tractor, they never delivered it when I bought it. They threw in the clevis drawbar on my...

    CK2610 HST filters doesn稚 match

i just got burned in a similar fashion, but just by a lazy parts clerk. The Hydraulic filter they gave me was T5710-38031. So the last 4 numbers were correct, which passed the smell test. Same deal, threaded hole is much too large. Now I have filter with some oil in it, that is incorrect. 42$ in...

50hr filter change on a CK2610 HST : how much fluid will I lose?

Of course you can't go wrong with replacing the fluid. But the service manual says only filters are required at 50hrs. I suspect dropping the hydraulic oil at 50hrs is unecessary in most cases, but I have to admit it does give piece of mind. Looks like I will get a "sample" when I change the...

50hr filter change on a CK2610 HST : how much fluid will I lose?

Just about to change the filters on my CK2610 (HST and Hydraulic). Wondering how much fluid I will need to top up after the mess. I will also be investigating 2 FEL zerks that do not seem to want to take grease anymore. They worked fine the last 2 greasing sessions, now nothing, no new grease...

Hydraulic line sleeve/abrasion protection : what do you use?

Are the edges of the spiral rounded? Unclear from the picture. I have seen some that have square edges (looks like someone just spiralled a pipe), they can actually chaffe the hose.

Hydraulic line sleeve/abrasion protection : what do you use?

This looks like a good fit for me, and the price is reasonable too (although I will brace for the standard Canadian upcharge).

Hydraulic line sleeve/abrasion protection : what do you use?

I now have a few implements with hydraulic hoses, with some obvious abrasion points. I can reduce most of it with creative tiewrap use, but there will still be some areas that will be more prone to rubbing/wear and tear. What do you use to protect your hoses? Nylon tube sleeve, plastic spiral...

New wood chipper, will not fit my CAT1quick hitch...what are my options?

Not specifically mentioned, but it is obvious from the frame size(width where the pins are bolted) that the intent was CAT1 quick hitch compatibility.

New wood chipper, will not fit my CAT1quick hitch...what are my options?

Mostly correct, except it never was a CAT2 implement (although ironically the CAT2 pins are the correct size for the CAT1 quick hitches). And it's 21.5 PTO HP...

New wood chipper, will not fit my CAT1quick hitch...what are my options?

I introduced it to my 30ton bottle jack. I got an extra 3/8" of width after spring back, which is all I needed. QH was on the low side of the standrad width wise, so everything still fits right now (27.5" between hooks after massage). It is still tight, and I will scratch the paint on the...

PTO Guard/Shield on CK2610 : does it flip up?

Looks like the same guy who installs the hydraulic filters at the factory tightened the PTO shield bolts on my tractor... I'll break the bolts loose, retighten and use some teflon dry lube at the pivot points.

PTO Guard/Shield on CK2610 : does it flip up?

I have seen tractors where the shield flips up, and others where it is fixed. Mine seems to be very tight (or fixed...). Do I need to loosen the bolts, or grease it?

New wood chipper, will not fit my CAT1quick hitch...what are my options?

Indeed, I used my 30 ton bottle jack, with lots of wood :) Bottom line, I now have 27.5" between hooks (gained 3/8" after spring back), and it fits on the chipper. I still needed to shave the bolt heads on both latch pivot bolts, those fit with like 1/16" to spare, even after the...

New wood chipper, will not fit my CAT1quick hitch...what are my options?

Technically the frame of the chipper is 27", and the quick hitch has 27 1/8" between the hooks. If it wasn't for the added width the spring pin structure is adding, it would just barely slide on, with 1/8" to spare. I agree though, the manufacturer of the implement did screw up. Even if i can...

New wood chipper, will not fit my CAT1quick hitch...what are my options?

Interesting about the Kioti hitch, wonder if it is wide enough...Likely overpriced, but if it accepts both CAT1 and CAT2 it may be worth it. Afraid just swapping out pins will not work, at least not with the quick hitch. Do CAT 2 pins have the same hole size/bolt size as CAT1 pins? If so, then...

New wood chipper, will not fit my CAT1quick hitch...what are my options?

Just got a new chipper, looked like it was CAT1 quick hitch compatible , even had CAT2 pins and top pin on. It basically does not fit. CAT 1 quick hitch is too narrow (I have 27 1/8" between the hooks, which would fit with 1/16" to spare, but with the latch structure behind the hooks is just too...

    Grease Gun Recommendations

Alemite 555-E is also well rated for a manual pistol grip gun, though it seems a bit more pricey than the Lincoln 1134. I would also recommend at the very least a battery operated gun with that many machines. I have a single tractor, and went with bulk feed pneumatic version on a cart...

Coolant leak/puddle after plugging in block heater on Ck2610

It would seem so. I snugged up the top of block rad hose clamp, and no more visible leaks after the "heater bloc on" pressure test :) I will keep an eye on it, as it is now on "low" level. I'll have the dealer top it up for free if i decide to get my 50 hr service there.

Coolant leak/puddle after plugging in block heater on Ck2610

I had a factory bloc heater installed when I bought the CK2610. Tried it out for the first time today. Plugged it in for 1/2 hour, came back to a coolant puddle on the floor. Investigation revealed some seapage around the main rad hose going into the bloc heater on top, which I tightened. I am...

CK2610H WWF rear tire ballst : the job and results

I just added 29 gallons of windshield washer fluid to each rear tire on my CK2610. Initially I thought this was just going to be a small add-on to the 680lbs/box blade I always carry, but it turned out to be more than that. Actually adding the fluid was not too bad. I used the special valve...

How low is your Quick Hitch?

Installed a Red Rock Cat 1 quick hitch on my Kioti CK2610 last week, and it's riding really low. Is that normal? Is there any reason why I should not use the other holes on the 3 pt hitch arms and use the turn buckles to prevent it from going so low?

    New Custom Tooth Bar

Got this fitted to my bucket on Friday. Very nice, fit is awesome because I brought the bucket over, and it was fit up/welded on site. I was told it was hand ground :0. Initially I thought it was going to be AR400 steel, but with the hand grinding, I am not sure. Not a big deal either way...

Rotary Cutters/ Brush Hogs : just how likely are they to throw sticks and stones?

I was looking at flail mowers because I had heard they are inherently safer. Unfortunately I have very few available for sale in my area, and the prices are pretty high. Rotary cutters are a dime a dozen. Plenty to choose from. If I add chains or heavy conveyor belt material, just how likely...

Kitoi CK2610H : Are there any hidden/unmentioned grease zerks to worry about?

Granted, I am probably freaking out about this after reading JD 2320 driveshaft horror stories, but since the manual is a POS, I still thought I'd ask: Are there any "hidden" greasing points on a CK2610H that I should know about? Specifically zerks that are not mentioned in the manual...

Woodland Mills WC68 on a Kioti CK2610 : is this a good fit for my tasks?

Lots of autumn olives to chip here, and would like to handle them as little as possible. Also a fair dollop of grape vines and wild roses. Some small garbage trees (poplar, summac) that I would like to uproot and get rid of to make way for real trees. I could buy a lot of matches for 3k, but...

Picked up this 72" yesterday. Thinking of using it for snow removal exclusively, as I already own a HD box blade for dirt work. ID plate has been painted over 100 times, but best guess is manufacturer starts with "DA" The good: Curved mold board, fairly heavy construction Very little rust...

Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Bercomac 64" 3 point hitch "Economical" Snowblower opinions

Looking for something to put on the CK2610, if I can't find a good deal on a used Berco for the garden tractor. CK2610H : front axle pivot won't take grease

Coming on 15 hrs I decided to hit all the grease fittings on the tractor (Amsoil GLC grease, in a Powerfist 18L air grease pump, lockn lube fitting, 5000 psi). Most fittings took grease well, with some loader bushings not expelling grease on both sides (heard this was common with new/tight...

New CK2610 : rough running/clanging engine, cold and hot

New CK2610 : rough running/clanging engine, cold and hot

OK, admittedly I have not had a diesel in a while (last time was a 1987 diesel VW Jetta), but I swear this engine sounds like it wants to throw a rod when cold. It gets better when hot, but still rough sounding, with a lot of mechanical hammering noises. To be clear it is not missing or...

    CK2610 HST New owner questions

Just took delivery of my 2610HST, with the 4030 loader. I like it so far, but a few things are annoying me. Stinks to high heaven. Morning first start puffs a black cloud of smoke in the garage, half hour to vent it out. Tends to stink a lot, lots of diesel fumes, even after it is close to...
