    RTV - X1100C

    RTV - X1100C

I split and stacked four loads of Beech today, picture 1884 & 85 is what's left of the Beech pile. I'm hoping for two face cord so we'll see how much we have after I'm done. It was a great day for it, not many bugs at all. When I came in it was 60 degrees.

    RTV - X1100C

I went down it again today with the rhino on my way to get more beech firewood, there are a few spots that need fill before I go up it. I have some rotten basswood that has been down for years that I'll put in the lowest spots and then add chips and pine needles, that will work for a short...

    RTV - X1100C

I've been working with the Rhino making some trails wide enough for the Kubota, I'll be opening up this trail off one of our highest hills. If I have the RTV in low and in four wheel drive, do you think I can walk up it with a load of wood or a splitter? I had a person tell me some of the grade...

    RTV - X1100C

Sorry for not getting on here sooner, we added two lights up front on the top of the cab and one on the back, we also added the screen for protection of the back window. I don't have the Boss V-Plow model number inside but I see you went with something else. We did go with the ATV tires and...

2638 Mahindra with Cab and FEL

We have a 2016 Mahindra 4540 with a backhoe with just over 1000 hours on it, I was just wondering what the trade in value would be if we were looking to buy the 2638 with Cab with A/C and heat. I had a worker from the local Mahindra dealer tell me our 4540 is in excellent shape, it's never been...

Possible Trade for a new Mahindra 2638

I'm thinking about trading in our 2016 4540 with the backhoe for a Mahindra HST, I haven't had any problems with the 4540 but it would be much easier for the wife driving an HST, we have 933 hours on it most of that has been plowing the driveway and trails. How is the 2638 or any other Mahindra...

    Mahindra 4540 Zerk Sizes

All the zerks I sized with a Grease Fitting Thread Tester, Type Gage from Grainger were a Brass Metric M8 X 1.25 into a steel pin, Grainger has the same size zerk but in a zinc plated steel. I ordered some so I could have extra since my dealer didn't have the size in stock, the threads are the...

What did you do to or on your Mahindra today?

We hit 80 again today but the clouds moved in so it wasn't that bad. I took two loads (one pictured) to the wood dump in the utility trailer After I came back from the wood dump, I put five gallons of diesel in the 4540 and took three loads of chips to the trail I've been working on. I also...

What did you do to or on your Mahindra today?

Yesterday I moved around 11 or 12 loads of chips to what was a low area in the trail, this should make this part of the trail much better when it's wet or just when going for a ride.

What did you do to or on your Mahindra today?

I bucked up two of the ash trees that are in the gully and then pulled one out with the 4540 that's down further from the first couple of pics. I did move some of the rounds from pic 9103 to the splitter area.

    Sander/spreader

There's a spot you can set the opening for the feeder gate so all you need to do is push the handle down from the tractor seat to the pin in the set location. If you have a cab then the handle might need to cut down.

What did you do to or on your Mahindra today?

The Sundown 180 is all hooked up, I had the sand/salt shield down all the way but the next time I'll raise it so it will pretty much do the width of the driveway. It beats standing on the ice throwing sand on the driveway. Just a few pictures of the 180 and the little bit I sanded. We almost...

What did you do to or on your Mahindra today?

After it stopped raining this afternoon, I removed the slush from our driveway. In pictures 2083 & 84 we have a few small trees down across the brook where the ice did damage last winter. Off the bank on our side, the water is up to my waist so if I can't pull them out from our side then I call...

What did you do to or on your Mahindra today?

We received 5-6 inches of wet heavy snow overnight so I did our driveway and the neighbors too. After some lunch, I did some roof raking and plowing some trails around the house (not pictured) so the dog would have a place we could walk it. The power is starting to go on and off.

    Lets see your Mahindra!

This is our first tractor (2016, 4540) with the backhoe, forks and a plow with the third function kit, it's been a good tractor with no problems with just over 641 hours on it. Very early on it had a code update they did here and they also added a inline restrictor coming out of the top of...

What did you do to or on your Mahindra today?

I changed the direction of the drain for the gutter, the water should run across the driveway into the woods instead of at the new garage and to the left. I hand dug everything and then got some sand with the 4540 to fill the trench halfway up where the drain was. We also put some wood with...

    4540 Temp Gauge ?

We have a 4540 that we bought new in 2016, it wasn't that the temp gauge was bad, they had to put in a inline restrictor coming out of the radiator which brought the temp up. Before the inline restrictor it was like the temp gauge was broke but it just wasn't getting warm enough for a reading...

    Mahindra 4540

The 4540 went in for it's 500 hour checkup (598 on it when it went in) so I had them change all the fluids, oil and filters, everything was fine. This winter the 4540 will be inside a new 28 x 36 garage which should be finished before the end of August....depending on the weather. The pad and...

What did you do to or on your Mahindra today?

I pulled the stump out of the hole today and then put the pallet forks on to move it to the stump pile. I did dig three smaller stumps but the batteries were dead. The three smaller stumps I took out today opened up an area so I can dig a bigger stump out tomorrow depending on the weather. The...

What did you do to or on your Mahindra today?

I did the below yesterday, today I cleaned some zerks on the backhoe that weren't excepting grease and then greased it. I'm thinking that I pulled 5-7 stumps today, nothing huge but the last stump picture took some time.I did get about four bucket loads of sand to help fill a couple of holes...

Anyone Bent Their FEL Using a Snow Plow

We have one on our Mahindra 4540, this is our second winter with it and I really like it. I haven't bent anything yet but I don't go hard into the banks already there. We had 5 degrees for the whole day today, we received what we think was 14 inches of snow from the storm so I let the 4540 get warm and then plowed our driveway and some trails in the woods and then headed down to the neighbors to plow the driveway.

Fairly New From The Foothills of The Adirondacks

Hi, This is our first tractor so I decided that it would be a good idea to join a tractor forum, so far the Mahindra 4540 has been trouble free but if I do run into anything then this will be the site I ask my questions. I don't think I posted here when I joined but if I did, please excuse the...

What did you do to or on your Mahindra today?

I dug a few small stumps up and then grabbed some sand to fill the holes. I then switched to the pallet forks so I could grab a few loads of pine branches so I could burn since it's wet out. We've had the 4540 since last August without a problem, I think the hour meter was at 234 or 235 at the...

    Mahindra 4540

Just some digging of two stumps that came out together and then moved with some pallet forks. I did get about four small loads from our small sand pit. I think the 4540 has just over 230 hours on it, we've had it for 14 months.

We dropped two pines so the house would get more sun and the plowing in the winter would be easier. We used the pallet forks to load up the trailer and haul some branches to the town wood dump.

Snow Removal with the Mahindra 4540 4 WD

Last winter was our first winter with a tractor which we used for plowing the driveway and trails leading to our wood stacks, our biggest snowfall was 22 or 23 inches overnight which the 4540 walked through without chains but the back tires are loaded (correct term?) with beet juice.

I like the job the 4540 does plowing compared with the truck, here are a few more pics of some plowing last year. The area coming through the pines is wider since we took more pine down. It's my first experience with a tractor so hopefully it stays good. How's the 2555 HST treating you?

    Mahindra 4540

We bought the Mahindra 4540 about 14 months ago along with the backhoe, so far the only things it needed was a code update and one of the clamps needed tightening to stop a small antifreeze leak. I've put in enough trails around the house for walking and the UTV but since getting the 4540 we've...
