Unfortunately the bulbs do not work. My lights in my ROPS are halogens.

That has worked for me on my 4600 as well.

Ok. I plan to do the same. Having the extra light in the winter will be a big win - that it won’t drag down the battery if I leave them on without the engine running.

You. I read your message that you didn’t change the headlights.. rather, only the ROPS-mounted lights.

Update: I ordered the bulbs and will put them into the ROPS lights that I have. Question - why didn’t you put them also in the headlights on the tractor?

I'm sticking with tubes for everything. Even the tires on the Gorilla carts, etc.

I've been lucky... not too much in my pasture areas when cutting. But I did do some work at a neighbor's area in grass that was at least 3-4' tall... I found all kinds of things with my FEL. Dead Trees, Dead animals, a barrel, etc... and she SWORE there was nothing in there. :cautious:;)

I'm happy with the process that was used - plugging first and now with the tube. All is working well and I've also enjoyed reading the posts/follow-ups here. Good knowledge for sure! Thanks!

Great stuff. It is my go to for my fuel and oil treatments …. And rates right up there with TriFlow for all other lubrication items!

It’s good to hear that JD stepped in. You went through a lot with this whole deal and the fact that the dealership took it hard on the nose, also says a lot about them. I’d be doing a nice reference for them for sure!

Question - I saw on here were someone was having issues with their 3-pt arms not raising (or raising too slowly). Mine seems to raise fine, but is slow lowering (even with weight on it). Is this normal? Thanks! -Bob

Some time ago I managed to puncture my front tire (through the tread, so it could be repaired with a plug). Last week I had a situation where I was losing air in the tire and couldn't figure out why. The tire dealer told me there was a pinhole in it and they needed to tube it. I had that done...

It is the Brake (for both wheels simultaneously). There is also a lever that you can pull straight back that locks the brake in place for parking purposes.

UPDATE After staying clear of the situation for a year, I returned to it and tracked down a set of Carlisle’s through Amazon that are a perfect match. I got them just in time, too, as the snows and cold in Minnesota set in and the traction has been a great help. Merry Christmas, everyone! -Bob

Ah. That’s great news. I have two on the ROPS facing forward and will replace those first. I’ll have to see if the headlights on the 4600 can be replaced with LEDs, too. Anyone know where I can get those? @fidowanttobe, what headlights did you get for you ROPS?

I view the whole concept of Green costs more as a prejudiced opinion. Yes, I can buy cheaper…. But having parts available, repair facilities, and other items for as long as I have my tractor (never mind the 3rd party aftermarket or the wonderful folks on this forum), the extra money is worth...
