    Lawn Tractor vs Zero Turn

I got me a z-turn stander mower, a Bradley 48", it's awesome in every way compared to a riding mower. Sorry, I'm coming into this thread late, so don't know the o/p's exact needs/wants. I will say if you want a swiss army knife type machine that does it all, then a garden tractor or scut...

    My dog's not doing well

Sorry to hear it. Our little tibeten terrier once got really ill out of the blue, swelled up and lost much of her fur (not permanent, it grew back), marked weakness, lethargy and so forth. It was Thanksgiving weekend, so we had to take her to the pet er, and they flat out sucked in every way...

Who is excited for snow season? Not us! We're depressed due to lack of snow.

I got me a snow pusher hand shovel, I use it where my tractor won't go. It's easy, works great, and yes I don't mind using it at all!

A couple of interesting finds on my property.

A few yrs back when we had pigs, they rooted up some WW2 era brass cartridges, German and Portuguese. I'm thinking it's likely the owner back then came back from the war, bringing home some trophies, and was firing off the rounds.

Turn the key to let the fuel flow for a few sec, then turn and hold a few sec for the glow plugs, then turn further to crank the starter for a few sec. If it doesn't start, go back to the glow plugs a few sec, and then try again. You may need to do that a few times....a few sec of glow...

BX23s - steep hills to mow, dirt work to do

A BX will get you there, but obviously at a slower pace than a bigger machine, and sounds like you're not made out of time. So dunno, I guess it depends on your funds/desire to shell out for new equipment. Unlike my Massey's mmm, your mower deck accepts a mulching kit. That is a huge win come...

Mowing on slopes maximum angle before tip

Depending what machine I'm using. On the Massey, I'd be fairly careful doing my 15 degree slopes. On my Bradley stander, that's straight up fun...I'll wheelie that badboy up there just for kicks, mow it side-to-side, whatever, no fear.

Time for GC2300 to be put out to pasture. Maybe an MF1725?

Congrats! There are definitely updates with these new models, the loader joystick location, tilting steering wheel, the flat/peace floor matt, and quite likely your old one doesn't have a SSQA loader like standard on the new ones. Some people laugh at cruise control on a tractor, but here's...

    3 pt hitch Ratchet Rake

Oh yeh man for sure, I used that thing on the loader a bunch of times to rip out brush, bulldoze tire ruts, etc, and then smooth all that out for seeding. Yeh guys, I really like this idea too for leveling and prepping for seed. I know they make a towable version like Ruffdog has, but I already got mine which mounts on the loader. I'm thinking to modify my drawbar (which I never use), weld a lip on it so I could mount the RR on that. It would...

Yeh, the dude at Skid Steer Attachment Depot claimed they build them themselves, but who knows? Titans are imports, but at least there's hundreds of posts about them.

Thx Hay Dude. I know they make good stuff, I was looking at their snow pusher actually. But their forks are pretty heavy, their 2k lbs rated ones are heavier than the 4k rated ones I've been looking at, and their 4k rated ones are nearly 100 lbs heavier. I'm needing to keep the weight down...

You could probably make a better pair anyways. The nice ones slip on whereas these ones are like c-channels that just lay on top of the forks. Any bump will displace them off the forks, with only the bracket at the back end keeping them from falling off entirely. If I was to get these, I'd...
