    Hours charged for tractor work

That’s the biggest aggravation with the “chucks in a truck”. Not only do they make it hard for all legitimate contractors to bid/win jobs, they’re not really making any money on top of it.
  13. M

    Hours charged for tractor work

Ok? I’ve done it both ways. When starting out I did hourly $80 per. Once I legitimized and had a lot more overhead, that became unsustainable. Minimum is now $300. That 20 minute job would have grossed $80 before, now grosses at least $300. There is no legitimate contractor that bids hourly...

    Ceramic coating treatment

I’m surprised by the recommendation to use Dawn, that’s what I (and a lot of others) use to strip wax and polishes from vehicles. Dark vehicles are harder, from your description it sounds like the product removal, after it “flashes” may have been laxidasical. I did all 3 of my families DDs...

    Your towing rigs and trailers

Thanks, next to the tilt deck is a 10k dump trailer. This was the first tow with the Ford, coming from an ‘06 Chevy 2500, it was amazing!

New (er) truck time, tell me what you think of this one.

Yes I’ve been educating myself on the 6.2 upgrades. Very appealing. I like the newer body style better, but not crazy about white either. My must haves are super cab, long bed, upfitter switches, integrated trailer brake controller, 2.5 inch hitch, back up camera, cab clearance lights, power...

Enter player 2….probably going to get this one instead. Until I make the 16’ the way I want it, the price difference will be negligible. https://fredbeanstrucks.com/work-truck/used-2018-Ford-F250-pickup-truck-4726692#

Never figured mine out, but pretty sure it’s average is 10-12, it ain’t great, but I do think 7 is way low.
  138. M

New (er) truck time, tell me what you think of this one.

Would have never guessed by your screen name, lol. I considered it, it’s main job is towing a 10k dump trailer and a 20k (registered at 10k) tilt deck, but even with a busy side business year, I’m only at 4K miles for the year, so with that limited use, the up charge is t worth it.
  139. M

New (er) truck time, tell me what you think of this one.

It’s absolutely insane. This is the most sane one I found as far as price/mileage. There was one I looked at, 19’ f250 XL, crew 8’ bed, 4K miles. They wanted $69k……lol, I told him give me $29k for my Chevy and I would buy it.
  140. M

New (er) truck time, tell me what you think of this one.

Haven’t driven it yet (they won’t let you drive it if not inspected, it’s like a weird new age dealership) but did see it and climb around under it, it’s super clean. Truck prices are insane right now. Yeah at 3-5k miles a year and the aluminum body panels it should last me forever, lol.
  141. M

New (er) truck time, tell me what you think of this one.

Yeah once I “reserved” it they took it down. $39800

I’ve always had GM trucks by default (hence the question), but I’m not really brand loyal. This one is equipped right, decent price and the low mileage make it for me. We have a 15’ F250 (super cab, short box) at work that I drive from time to time. No complaints.

Turn the knob/lever like you are tilting the wheel, pull straight out on the knob/lever, turn it back “down”. Repeat. This should loosen the bolt and allow the tilt to move.

    Desperately need to fix driveway

Was modified, crusher run or road base used? Or was clean stone used? Clean stone will always push out, no matter how well the driveway is graded/shaped. Re-accruing potholes have to be busted up from the edges for the fix to last.
