I have friends that have them near their property in West Texas and they say the biggest issue is wildfires that get started when they fail. Apparently they often throw a lot of sparks when they fail.

My Chicken Coop Build (The Fluffy Butt Hut)

We have this one we bought about 5 years ago on sale for 150 or so. Wife and son wanted to have some chickens and so it was cheap and easy (My son actually assembled it) to start with and see how long their "interest" held (My son was done with them in a few months, no surprise!). It only took a...

My Chicken Coop Build (The Fluffy Butt Hut)

So now that it's been a couple years, how satisfied with it are you? Any changes you would make if starting today? We bought a small cheap (relatively) years ago but now the wife has 10 more chicks we have to make room for and none of the prebuilt today seem worth the money or even half of their...

Do You Have a Tractor Shed/Barn?

I agree, I can't see needing any more than what the loader lift capacity is for rear ballast. In actuality probably only needs to be 50-80% as you already have the weight of the tractor engine, rear axle and all the fluids behind the fulcrum of the front axle to counter the loader leverage. Then...

Do You Have a Tractor Shed/Barn?

This was when I got the tractor in 2020, It was quick and easy to build. Not really cheap but at the time cheaper than anything else and I could move it easily. The 2x10's across the bottom were placed so the weight of the tractor kept it from moving in the wind. Then a couple years ago I...

Well, I never really cared for Polaris, we did have a little 50cc for my son early on and it's only issue was it would die when crossing water. Trailer brakes and bearings replaced question

I would recheck the bearings on the 125 degree wheel. That is significantly hotter for such short trips. If the brakes are not too close and rubbing while not activated, Possibly the bearings are bad or didn't get greased well enough or the castle nut is too tight.

My view from around NTX/OK. Lots are filling up, rebates are growing. I think there will be even bigger rebates by July...

It would be stuck open, that's the fail safe mode. When you press the "RIO" (Reverse Implement Operation) button you actually close the circuit to allow the engine to run with the blades on when in reverse. It's a safety thing. If a wire were to ever get cut or damaged, the circuit would be...

That may be overkill. 50% more should be plenty as a 9500lb tractor won't require 9500lbs of force to pull it up a hill, It could lift itself vertically. I think that's the brand in the Yamaha's and they seemed to have the longest life in my fleet. Maybe it's because our ATV's aren't used daily or even every week, which is also why keep them on tenders. When I do want or need to use something, they fire right up 99% of the time.

    New $10,000 Toyota pickup

Actually if you know how to drive one, it's not that bad. I did it for years. You just pick low enough gear and let traffic speed up and down while you just move at a slower, more constant rate when traffic moves.
