Who uses .155 line successfully in a string trimmer

that's very unfortunate as heavy string is phenomenal when you need to cut around obstacles, currently im jamming .155 line into a head echo rates up to .130 and i love it, .170 i could probably cut forever without changing lines. if I'm mowing an area where there's no obstacle i love a shredder...

    Pull behind brush cutter

No, they're like a giant lawn mower blade. They work very well in my opinion there isn't much they don't cut. I've hit rocks with them and they take it well on rare occasions it will disengage the clutch or throw the belt. I love mine. I'm in south east manitoba all there is is rocks out here.

    Pull behind brush cutter

I have a 44" kunz rough cutter with the 23hp briggs and that thing is a tank, if a quad can pull it over it its going to get cut. on flat ground i used to pull it with a 250 big red and now with 500 foreman on a steep sideslope its a hard pull on the quad. the blades are probably about 1/2"...

And yet another log splitter build

Restriction fitting has been picked up from greenline will start drilling small hole and see what it does. The catch tray should maybe be wider, its what i had on hand for material, most of the trees i will be splitting are <16" diameter so a super wide catch tray may not be required? gonna...

And yet another log splitter build

i intend to mostly run it with the box wedge you see in one of my build pictures and that way it should just push them on through, kind of like that woodmizer/tempest splitter. on the single wedge i need to cut the splitter cheeks down or remove them it pushes the pieces way too far to the...

And yet another log splitter build

i see what you're laying down, it pushed oil out on the first stroke only i figured it was still purging air from the system, if all ports were near the center they would be on its lengthwise tilting acces and always with the correct amount of fluid. i figure if i find a slight downward spot and...

And yet another log splitter build

hold on, will try to fix the video first time using youtube. it got build and modified over two years the axle ended up in the back since if it was nearer the middle it would either be where the pump is or where I'd want to stand (had a vertical shaft engine so had to mount vertically making...

And yet another log splitter build

Well, decided to build a splitter as i couldn't find any of the lower priced ones liked. the main beam is a W14X61 the oil tank is double 6X6HSS holding about 80 liters of oil, the motor is a old 19hp briggs opposed twin with a 22GPM two stage pump, the cylinder is approximately 5" bore off of...

    trail clearing technique and tools

What is the advantage of running that string trimmer without a guard? does it not throw a lot of stuff at you? I use one of these kunz mowers around the yard, thing is a beast if you can pull it over it it will make it dissapear. from 2" saplings to 6' cattails
