    MF 135 external hydraulics

It looks like Yesterdays Tractors sells a few kits, search the 135 hydraulics page for "remote" https://www.yesterdaystractors.com/cgi-bin/store/model_parts.cgi?SearchArea=Massey-Ferguson&md=135&cat=Hydraulic%20System No experience with it but I've been meaning to buy one as well for a log...

    Leveling box seized

Got the handle pin out with a die grinder and air hammer (sure wasn't a roll pin like in the diagrams) and more heat got the shaft out. Thrust washer was packed with rust so cleaned it up and new grease and it works great, didn't even have to buy any parts. Lots of grading to do, this is going...

    Leveling box seized

Thanks I'll go that route. It looks like there's a bearing under that bevel gear, it must be seized up real good.

    Leveling box seized

Hello trying to fix the seized levelling box for the 3pt today, got the top cover off and scooped out all the rust and ancient grease, applied heat and oil and got the handle gear freed up but the shaft is still stuck. Question, is the shaft supposed to turn at the top where it meets the gear...

    Equipment chain sizing

Rear only and plenty of fender clearance but I'll double check thanks

    Equipment chain sizing

OK thanks. My tractor has 14.9x24 tires so these will probably fit if I shorten it by a link or two, save me a lot of $$.

    Equipment chain sizing

Hello, Looking at some used grader chains for my tractor and the size is listed as 1600-24 (or 16-24 or 16.00-24) does that mean the chains are 24" x 16' laid flat? Or that it's for a 16-24 size tire? If so that's a 16" wide tire tread on a 24" diameter rim right? Thanks

3-Point Hitch Massey Ferguson 135 Restoration Project

Very nice. Saving these photos as reference for my eventual MF 135 restoration. Never seem to have the time to take it apart, I'm always using it!

    MF 135 updated wiring diagram?

I'm diving into the wiring mess in my diesel 135 (9A69515) and the Fig 62 diagram from the Owners manual for the diesel does not match the wire colours for my tractor at all... It also seems to be missing some things, for example my tach has an hour meter that is wired to something but doesn't...

Rotten rims, two sizes on tires

Is that one of these (TRCH3?) valves? https://ca.sparex.com/air-water-valve-core-housing-594-fast-flow-19276.html Thanks for the heads up about the fine thread carriage bolts

Rotten rims, two sizes on tires

Thanks. I guess I will just stick a tube like this in it? Anything else I need? Tire has some cracks but it's good enough https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/rubbermaster-plus-136-149-24-tr218a-tractor-tube-lifetime-warranty-312065?utm_source=pocket_mylist

Rotten rims, two sizes on tires

I'm in Canada so I'd prefer to order from Sparex or a local tractor dealer once I've figured out what I need.

Rotten rims, two sizes on tires

Need to replace the rusted out rims on my MF 135, but my tires are marked with two sizes: 14.9/24-13/24 Can't find any info on why two sizes would be shown? Below those it says "on W13 rim" Is the second size the rim recommendation? I've been searching online and I can't find any 13/24 rims...

    MF 135 power steering fluid

(Splitting this off from my other thread... I think I'm tackling too many issues in one topic) Another greenhorn question... On my 135 power steering pump I only see an oil fill plug (and vent) on the top of the reservoir, am I supposed to fill it completely with fluid? The owners manual gives...

New MF135 owner - alternator dead & power steering leak

One thing I did notice from the cut off diagram I posted above is it appears there should be 5 wires going to the alternator (black, blue, red, grey, white) and I only count 4 in my photo in the first post (plus the ground which doesn't appear to be in the diagram). In that case the black wire...

New MF135 owner - alternator dead & power steering leak

Thanks! The tractor is a couple hours drive from home, I only get to work on it on the weekends, so I pulled the alternator and have it with me. I'm going to take it to an alternator shop tomorrow and have them bench test it. I've copied your notes as I don't get a cell signal at the property...

New MF135 owner - alternator dead & power steering leak

Hi everyone, glad to be here. Bought my first tractor this weekend, a 1969 Massey Ferguson 135 with a 3 cylinder Perkins diesel, power steering, front end loader, and back blade. Pretty worn out but I'm happy to wrench on it on the weekends and get it back to it's full working glory. A few...
