Sound like your wife is much like mine! She’s not fond of spicy food either, but she has developed a liking for the cheddar and bacon crackers that I posted the recipe for here a while back. They go great with the pickled eggs and sausages too.

Thanks for the update and I’m glad you liked them! The sausages add a lot of flavor to the eggs. I like to add a bit of liquid smoke to the recipe too.

You might want to check my thread “Copycat pickled sausages”. The brine recipe make great pickled eggs too!

the recipe calls these crackers but they are more like a sorta soft cookie or thin biscuit to me. Anyway they are Delicious!!

I like to put the eggs and smokies in the jug together. Makes the eggs more tasty!

Boiled 2 dozen eggs, made a double batch of brine, sliced up a package of Oscar Meyer smokies. In the fridge now!

I found this recipe online and tried it. Pretty close to the penrose hot sausages that came in the large jars. Makes some great pickled eggs too!

I got a filter kit for my xj2025h from a seller on eBay. Engine oil, hydraulic, hst, air, and fuel, all LS brand for $99 with free shipping. A bit cheaper than my local dealer and delivered to my door.

Well, got the 250hr service done today. Hydraulic oil was still clear when I checked it before I changed the filters so I didn’t change it. Used the shop vac trick so didn’t lose very much. I added a sun shade/canopy to my tractor, helps to keep my noggin from getting blistered!

I bought this fuel caddy off fleabay $169.99 holds up to 30 gal. I have two of these, blue for diesel and a red one for gasoline. They work very well.

I have a friend that mounted one on his ROPS. It worked real well, especially when he ran over a yellow jacket nest. Covered him up with those little stinging rascals!

Any good smoked sausage should work, kielbasa, andouille, etc. what ever you like best. Hope it turns out as good for you as it has for us.

We have been using this recipe for a while now and really enjoy it. I use more bacon (of course!) usually 4-6 slices of thick sliced and add a bit of liquid smoke flavoring while it’s simmering. Thick, hearty and meaty with a bit of sweetness. Enjoy!

Mixed up five 60lb bags of quick crete. With the weight of the box (108lbs) that is a bit over 400 lbs. Still have room in the top for chains, etc. Sure makes a difference in how the tractor handles a load in the bucket!
