You are correct. Just press them in to bleed the air. Some of the newer Yanmar models started using those instated of the regular bleeder screws.

I think what he is describing is turning down the OD of the alternator (because it spins with the pulley) to true it up and then mounting another pulley on the body of the alternator to drive a power steering pump. If so, I think that would put too much load on the belt driving the alternator...

The 276 manual will be very close and is as close as you will get. They both have the 3T84H engine, both have the same general powershift transmission, and both have the same 4wd axle design. It wont be 100% identical but will be very close.

I don't think I have ever considered the 2 cylinders to be any louder than the 3 cylinders- just a different kind of loud. You can hear each explosion on the 2 cylinders vs more of a roar on the 3 and 4 cylinders.

I think you should be able to reach it by removing the highlighted panel below.

Upper left is high coolant temperature and upper right is low oil pressure. You can test those lights by touching the wire going to the temp switch and/or the oil pressure switch to a bare metal surface on the tractor. The corresponding light should light up.

That style uses a couple disc springs and friction washers to maintain tension on the lever. You might be able to tighten up the tension on those springs by tightening the nuts at the end or might need to replace the friction washer.

That is correct. The 1510D front axle is unique so, if the parts came off of anything else, they will not work.

The only spring I see that sort of matches your description is the highlighted spring below. I'm pretty sure that spring is internal and could end up in the bottom of the transmission if it came loose. Does the tractor move when in 4wd?

This hose is pretty ugly but should help see the routing. You will need to remove that lower hose.

The YM240 had a low exhaust option that I always thought would be nice to have. I've never actually seen one in the real world though so probably a pretty rare option.

Just be careful with the auto parts store air filters that look similar. All that we have found were just a little thinner (1/8" or so) but it was enough that the rubber gasket did not seal and would let dirt in.

I think MF red was just a little lighter than Yanmar red and Case IH was a little darker red. Back in the old days (before we had the color matched paints) we would paint tractors with a 50/50 mix of the two. It came out close enough that you would never know the difference.

I don't have superior knowledge or really even an answer to your question but I did find the chart below. It does not have the same codes as the engines in your question but it might still be helpful to figure out what the differences could be.

I don't think I have ever seen one break in the middle like that either. Usually the splines just get wore out. The brass looks like either your pilot bushing or the bushings inside your throw out bearing carrier but that is a lot of shavings! Maybe combined with shavings from when the shaft...

According to my 336 parts book you could get 13.6-26 turfs, 13.6-28 turfs, and it also lists a 13.6-29 turf but I think that is a misprint. Then in the ag tire section it lists the 11-28 / 8-16 ag tire. I dont see any 13.6 ag tires in my book.

That is the other end of your PTO shifter shaft. We just got in a 2610D parts tractor so I took a couple pictures of what it has. It looks like your shaft has pulled out of the housing a little.
