On my JD 4300HST the inlet strainer lies .horizontally inside the transmission case. It is the large suction line to the hydraulic pump on the front of the engine. On my tractor, the HST precharge is from the power steering pump.

You can apply new ball joints to your bar. But you will first need to detetmine the stud taper and come up with a way to drill and tap the link. You may want to weld on an appropriate threaded sleeve instead of tapping. Don't know what equipment or skills you have at your disposal.

If the ball stud is loose in the rod end, you will need to replace the entire drag link. The rod ends appear to be welded onto the link bar. It is possible to weld on new ends, but you would first need to find suitable tie rod ends and set the length correctly, as there is no adjustment.

I had to split our 4300 to replace the HST linkage. PDF copies of the manual can be had for $40 or so. You may want to fab some splitting jacks. On the 4300 you first remove the fwd/rev operator rods, then 5 bolts that connect the transmission to the tunnel. IIRC, you also need to remove the centering spring assembly.

This pic looks like the top pin has already been modified once with a blue wrench. And the rear stays appear to be tubes. Definitely different than my 25A.

The mower in your pic has the same slot as mine. I'm guessing that was changed to a fixed pin with correct iMatch geometry. Nothing that a little time with the plasma cutter and some 7018 rods won't fix.

Can use the press for broaching square or hex holes, and embossing or flanging thin plates and panels. I also have a Scag Offroad press brake fixture for bending plate.

Here' a pic of our 48x108 horse barn. Center aisle is 24' wide. 16' wide will likely not have the full width tension member. Truss design has evolved. Latest designs have a 2x depth drop at center and just bolt together. This barn is 22 yrs old.

With the current $$$ of dimensional lumber, may want to consider steel bar joists at each post and just 2x8 purlins 24"OC. If you have a sawmill nearby, thay may help, since appears the folks making the $$$$ are the 6 main corporate lumber mills (based on their stock reports).

For my 430 loader bucket timing rod and replacement pivot pins i went with 1144 fatigue resistant steel. A little easier to machine in my application. But i do have a lathe in my workshop.

You got it, larger ID tube sized for bushing. Here are a couple pics of the pins on my MTL grapple. Not sure if it has bushings. Pin is 1". If you plan on a single wide claw, you may want to consider 3 or 4 separate hinge pins, not just one on each end.

When using a rotary file always wear goggles or face shield and safety glasses. The steel filings are little needles that fly everywhere. Very painful in an eye. Ask me how i know. Just safety glasses is not enough to protect you.

The dog leg actually is not subjected to much load. The straight links to the bucket take the brunt of the forces. I had planned to repair and reinforce the original fabricated QD holders on my 430. But then i determined that i could retrofit the cast steel 300cx parts with just a little work.
