What to dig post holes with in rock?

I have a JD5090E tractor. I'm trying to find the right attachment to dig my post holes. I hand dig most of mine but I'm unable to get some down due to solid rock, TN blue limestone. I know it's probably better to get a rock drill and jack hammer but, due to a back injury, I can't run the jack...

I'm looing at a 165 Diesel(not sure if it's the 3.3 or 3.5). 6 speed. It has been sitting for a couple of years but started when I went to look at it. It will need tires fairly soon due to dry rot. While looking at it, I noticed the area around the injection pump is wet with fuel. Also, looks...

    John Deere 2630

Hydro motor reseal or replace options

I'm working on my JD skid and the hydro fan motor is seaping oil, causing the fan to throw oil everywhere. JD offers a seal kit for $250ish or a new motor for $1300. Any pointers on hydro motor reseal? Any luck crossing over to other companies for new motors? Daniel

    Help with regulator

My Oxygen regulator went bad(dumped tank pressure to torch which ruptured lines) a couple years ago. My local Airgas sent it off to be rebuilt. It did the same thing yesterday(didn't rupture line this time). I don't want to rebuild again as it seems that this rebuild did not hold up. My current...

    .50 or .58

I am needing a new bar on two of my saws. One will be getting another 20" and the other will be downsizing to 28". I plan on Tsumura bars. I have always used .50 3/8 chains. Is there any benefit to going to .58, especially on the 28"? Anything to change on the sprocket?

Thinking about trading tractor for a skid steer, am I dumb?

I own 20 acres with about 11 of it that is overgrown and kinda rough. I find myself doing a lot more loader work and wanting to do more rough bush hogging. I have a pond to clean out, dirt to move, trees to pile with grapple, and underbrush to cut. So, I've started looking at tracked skids. My...

I've also thought about a smaller door and/or windows on the back side for a draft. The final picture has a 24' lean to off the back for...
