    I have a small pump to drain jacuzzi and fill pasture water trought in winter. It empties a 55 gallon pail pretty quick. If hooked to a nozzle is sprays far, but backpressures the pump. Pump makes awful noise. Im not sure these pumps are meant to work thru nozzle slowing flow??? I amy be wrong

    The usual manual transfer switch may only be used once a year, its when its used for exercising, it gets too much use. Most of my customers with portable generators never exercise them under load anyways…heck, its hard enough to convince them to even just run them a few times a year.

    If testing for voltage or resistance, ol means overload. Or higher than meter settings. If testing for continuity OL refers to open line or open loop…i forget exactly.

    Water weight 8.3 pounds per gallon by itself, im not sure what ratio of CC to water is used to figure real weight. I had CC in my old JD870, and when the tire burst, it ruined the interior of my steel lean too overnight. Ill never have that crap in a tractor again.

    Those are generally maxed out at 100amps, you should test batteries at 50% of rated CCA. SO A 550 CCA battery should be tested at 225 amp draw for i believe its 10-15 seconds. Mine beeps when its done. My carbon pyle tester is also harbor freight, but its rated 500 amps. I dont see that...

    Solid to stranded wire connections is not an issue. Ive done it for 30+ years. NEC has no issues with it. Plug in is always best though. When i wired houses i always placed a plug for D/W in the cabinet next to the unit. And ran cord thru hole with water line and drain.

    I had a few issues with my positive battery cable on my tractor with intermittent non starts. I replaced the cable and all issues went away. The copper inside the rubber cover was rotting away from battery acid.

    I dont know. Ive had 2 interstates fail on my tractor . The first was 1.5 yo, the last was 11 months. Alternator tested good. Both batteries had shorted cells. I went with AGM this time around. Tractor bouncing probably isnt a good thing on flooded cells.

    My portable has a kind of a muffler. More like a sound baffle. I know it hooks onto a pipe with a clamp. Not sure of the duromax. It does muffle the sould compared to if it wasnt there, but ill bet its more of a flame arrester by design.

    On some older generators ive had in the past i was able to remove the large “muffler” they provide and simply install a flex pipe on the remaining stub and ran it thru a car muffler to deaden the noise. I did this for 15 years until i installed the whole house generator.

    I honestly think your hooking up wires wrong. A basic light either has 1 wire and uses the mounting device for the ground, or has 2 wires, one being a ground and one being the hot. This fixture is just wired weird. A green wire with yellow stripe is universally considered a ground wire.

    My 2020 rig has such get up and go, and is so quiet and smooth, i am really impressed. I tend to be hard on the peddle, so i only get 18 mpg. But after driving a slug of a diesel 94 dodge ram, i appreciate the quiet, powerful ford.
