Here is a very cool use for the homemade forks I have. Gas powered straw blower mounted on a pallet, carried around on the pt. We can cover about 30k Sqft in an hour. :D

My new box blade, and a good use for the forks.

I bought a 3pt hitch 6' box blade Saturday. So far its my favorite attachment, I can use it with my 3 pt hitch adaptor. It is so easy to drop it in float and gently tilt the box to dig or drop the dirt. These pics are from a job site where we had to repair the grounds where heavy equip. tore...

    Operation Cool Trac PT1850

Step One. I mounted a $50.00 fan on the side where the muffler is located. This will help pull the mufflers heat away, and help pull air from the rear where the induction will be after I make it. ;) ..more to come

Job we're doing now with the PT1850

It occured to me today, I only post about the 1850 when it breaks down. It impresses mt a lot too, but I never talk about that, LOL. Go to any leadership seminar or read a like book, and it will say positive affirmation makes good employees better. So its probably human nature to focus on...

    PT1850 Alternator Conversion

Instead of spending $500.00 plus on a new Deutz alternator imported from germany, I decided to retrofit a "one wire" chev. unit to the contraption. I used a ford 300 six cyclinder alternator bracket for the lower and made the upper bracket. I removed the Deutz idler pulley, and used the...

Anyone biuld an Outside Water Boiler Wood Heater?

These are the heaters that sit outside your home, up to 100 feet away, burn wood which heats water up to around 200 degrees. The water is then plumbed underground to inside your house to a core which is sandwiched between your original heater and squirrel fan. A separate thermostat controls the...

Alternator is Fried on the 1850

I'll have to call Monday and see how much and if available. But If its way high, I'm thinking about plumbing a hydr. motor to spin a chev. alternator and rewire it. Probably why the electrical sys. is junk on the Pt anyway, I don't think the Duetz alternator can handle the electrical system...

    Toplink  Hydraulic Top Link

I priced a Hyd. Top Link and hoses for my JD 4720 , it was around $1,000.00. This seems high just for a cyclinder...this isn't a tilt kit, just the one cyclinder to replace the top link. I want to use my new rear aux. remotes. Seems like there would be a cheaper way to go than this. ? -Thanks.

    PT 1850 Running Hot !

We do a lot of bush hogging, and usually within 2 hours, the 1850 is overheating. This seems excessive. Anyone else having heat problems? We're also having many break-downs, I think due to the over heating. It has 250 hours on it. We started carrying a air tank fitted with a blow gun to...

Anyone tried to Fab an adaptor plate for this?

I was seriously considering havaing a plate fabricated to adapt to Bobcat attachments. They are readily available for rent here...a power rake goes for $100.00 per day.
