    The mower works

The little green sprouts are just starting to come up so I mowed all of the tall brown weeds. I think this is the first time this land has been mowed. I was able to mow 2 acres per hour.

    Strange RPM Loss?

I have 80 hours on my L3400HST. When driving from here to there the RPM will just drop. I'm talking a drop from 2,300 to 1,000 in one or two seconds. When I lift off of the HST pedal the RPM will come back up and I can continue on. This has happened several times. It is just when I am...

    How much weight to add?

I have added gauge wheels to my box blade and I am getting the floating action I want most of the time. The blade will ride on top of hard ground raising the wheels in the air. This is on a packed sand drive. The box weighs 500 pounds now. What is a good starting point for adding weight...

How do I raise the 3ph higher?

Hi all, My rear blade has an adjustment pin so I can "tilt" the balde and cut at an angle. I run out of travel on the 3ph when I configure the blade this way. I can't get the blade off of the ground. What is the best way to get it up in the air? If I shorten the top link I loose the cutting...

    Tiller  Different type of tiller.

What is this thing called? What is the normal use? It does work good for preping a race track. The tines spin on a vertical axis.

I almost punched a hole in the barn.

I was putting the tractor away after 4 or 5 hours of work today. When we built the barn we had to dig out a level spot. This left a rather steep slope on two sides. One of which has a barn door facing it. Anyway, I was driving the tractor inside the barn to park it. Completly under control...

Box Scraper  Added training wheels to my box blade Pics

I got the gauge wheels added. :D Now I have to learn how to use them. I used an entire roll of electrical tape on this project. See if you can find it. Hint: You have to zoom in on the back view picture to see it. ;)

I am going to Tulsa in a couple of weeks. My wife wanted to learn how to drive the tractor in case we have a heavy snow. After "Working" with it for a little bit she commented "This is easy;) ". I can't complain about my chores anymore. :(

    When using gauge wheels?

I am adding gauge wheels to my box blade. What do you guys do? 1 Attach the top link like normal. 2 Use a 2 piece top link like the rotary mower. 3 Do not attach the top link at all. I am smoothing my dirt driveway.

    Too much ballast?

Can you have too much rear ballast? I am doing some heavy digging with the FEL and the back end is light with filled tires and the box blade attached. So I am thinking about building a concrete ballast block. Therefore, I can make it as big as I want. My current design is 1,300...

Kubota HST in Low Med or High?

I am digging dirt with my L3400 HST. It is sandy soil. I started with the tractor in low. When the FEL dug in and the tractor stopped going forward the tires would spin and dig in 6-10 inches. I switched to medimum on the trany and the tires would stall while still applying forward pressure...

Dump trailer idea didn't work (pic)

I am moving a lot of dirt and need a dump trailer. This didn't work for several reasons. 1 Not all of the dirt emptied out of the trailer. 2 The tongue didn't come down so I could hook up with dirt still in it. 3 Without anything hanging on the 3ph the back of the tractor was too light...

    Raise my Drive (pic)

I am going to raise my drive 2-3 feet. The fence and ditch make a great snow fence. Here is the "Before" picture. I estimate it will take 1,000 buckets of dirt. :( I wish I owned a dump turck.

    Turn off with knee

I have shut off my tractor several times with my knee. I twist to the right to work with the 3ph and hit the key with my left knee. :( Any ideas short of cutting my leg off???

Box Scraper  6 year old box blade with 1 day of use

My dealer said he had a slightly used box blade for sale but he wasn't sure of the history. It is a Rhino BX66. There is still paint on the blades and the corners are not worn. The owner was out so they didn't know what the price should be. They found out through the serial number that they...

    Snow Blower information

What makes a good snow blower? I have a 1/4 dirt driveway and my fencing acts like a snow fence. A bad storm will leave snow 3-4 feet deep. I just bought a 34hp L3400.
