Yay, another new problem - high pressure feed line to the loader valves is leaking

Where the hard line attaches to the distribution block hydraulic fluid is spraying out from the sleeve under the nut on the fitting. It is as tight as can be. The sleeve is stuck to the nut too.. I'm guessing it's not possible to fix this, as any attempt would make it too short most likely. Sigh.

TC33d Tachometer and hour meter not working

Good day gents, it's been a while since I've posted.. my 33 has been mostly trouble free since rebuilding it so many years ago due to a cracked block. I have a new problem that I'm dealing with, which is that the tach and hour meter have ceased to function. initially the hour meter would leap...

Just an "I love my tractor" thread...

Hadn't run my 33D in a few weeks, and decided to exercise it last night.. Fired right up (well, not really, since the battery was low, and it wouldn't engage the starter relay right away..) but it runs so well now after the rebuild... I don't know if it's ever run this well.. it seems to make...

    Annnnnnnndd... It's home.. =)

Drove up to the dealer to bring her home. Spoke with the man who did the work, Thanks Buddy. It runs GREAT. I'd say it's better than new, thanks to the care he put into my machine. Fantastic. Can't wait to put it to work. Oh, he also made me a new counter weight. Kind of pricey, but seems to...

    Well, it's finally finished..

Unfortunately I was not able to visit the dealer to track the progress.. final tally is just shy of $2800, this with NH parts support in a bare block, piston rings, and gaskets. The dealer also found that the HST pump was leaking (again) so they replaced the seals for that as well. I have not...

    Tractor is under the knife....

Well we found out what the spark I saw when my engine block cracked.. One of the bolts on the top of the bell housing must have shot clean out like a tracer... it was missing... HST pump is leaking. Again (it was repaired once before, under warranty about 2 years ago). it appears that a log...

    Adding new brackets on TC33D/7308

Once I get my tractor back from getting it's new engine (due to it trying to break in half while lifting snow with the 7308 FEL) I want to make a subframe to link engine subframe to the loader arms. I have the idea in my head.. Just wondering if anyone has any advice, yea or nay, to the wisdom...

ARRRRRRGH!!!!!!! Broke my tractor.... Engine Block went SNAP...

Plowing some snow tonight, went to lift a large pile of snow, and heard a very disconcerting BAM, saw a spark, heard a nasty noise, and dropped the bucket.. Quick inspection showed nothing.. drove it gingerly to the house, where I could take a closer look.. One of the little ears that bolts the...

    TD33d FEL mounting arms question

Hey all!! I'm beginning to design (in my head) some bash plates for my 33d.. I was wondering if anyone out there has an opinion of the wisdom of welding mounting ears onto the rear FEL mounting arms for the purpose of attaching my bash plates... they seem pretty substantial, but I don't want to...

If it wasn\'t for bad luck... i\'d have none at all. Yes, I was working in the trees with my 33d... driving along, when suddenly, a log got popped up by the front left tire.. it was more or less sideways across the trail... felt a slight resistance, immediately reversed.. saw a slow spray of...

    Yay, back in blue, again!

I got my tire back on the 33d, after knocking the stem off and losing my calcium fill.. IMHO, you haven't lived till you have tried to get a loaded 19.5 x15 tire off of a trailer, in the rain, by yourself.. I'm not a little guy by any means, but trying to stand that sucker up was not gonna...

    Log + Valve stem = #@!$%@#@!~@$~!#@!$!!!!!!!!

Doing some clearing on my land, was maneuvering about some downed trees... was backing up, heard a very strange noise, followed by spraying liquid.. fearing the worst, jumped down to have a look.. I was glad it was not hydro fluid, but irritated nonetheless that I had a lake of calcium chloride...

    WOO HOO!!!! Back in blue!

After what felt like FOREVAH, I finally got my tractor back from having the HST re-sealed.. It's quieter, runs better than ever, and, as it turns out, in as-delivered form, the...

    ATV rescued by Tractor!!!!

My son and I went out on the wheeler the other day, but got hopelessly stuck in the snow.. Unfortunately, the cable for the winch was all tangled, and it was not going to help. Hydrofliud drip, at the front weep hole

Hey all, Now that it's winter here in Vermont, my 33d gets to live in the garage.. well, last night I noticed a decent (6 inch) circle of fresh oil.. upon further inspection, it appears to be hyrdo fluid, as the engine oil is BLACK as night... Creaky 7308?

Greetings all! Lately I have been hearing what can only be described as a creak coming from somewhere on my 7308 loader frame.. It's not the pivots as far as I can tell, they are all greased, it only makes this noise when you first put load on it, then it's quiet. I tend to use my loader...

Looking for opinions on how to check the hyd level

Hi all! It occurred to me the other day, when I checked my hyd fuid, it was REALLY full, like WAY over the max line. when I did my 50 hr service, I had the loader off, which meant that all 4 cylinders were fully extended when I took it off. I also more than likely had the 3PH in the up...

    white froth in hydraulic fluid

I checked the fluid levels like a good little tractor owner the other day, and noticed a little white froth on the hyd dip stick. It looked like the kind of froth that water might have caused. My question is, how normal is it for there to be traces of water in the hydraulic system, and is it...

    Remote RPM indicator lights?

This morning, while playing in the 8 inches of fresh powder, I got to thinking.. Wouldn't it be nice if there were remote RPM lights on the back of the tractor, so I wouldn't have to keep looking at the dash to see if the tractor is 'happy' in it's revs.. I know, I know, a proper tractor...

Snow Attachments  Woods SB74 (snow blower) chute modification..

Hey all, I have a Woods SB74, which is a great blower, but I noticed that not all of the snow actually makes it through the chute. A fair amount of it goes streight up, and naturally falls streight back down. Looking at it, where the adjustable part is, there is hardly any side to the chute...
