No, Amsoil is 3.76L vs A 5L jug of Rotella - 3.76L = 1 USA gallon. I can buy 2 jugs of Amsoil for less. Tractor holds 5.7L, so $59.99 for 5L of Rotella and $15.99 for 1L of 5W40. I will not be buying any Shell products, they recently tried apolpgizing for buying Russian oil - no thanks...
  70. WilliamBos

Rim guard or not? Why a ballast box instead of boxblade?

L A major advantage to radials is less soil compaction. https://yohta-blog.yokohama-oht.com/should-i-buy-a-radial-farm-tire?__hstc=209128269.c6506dd71a748d9cd7ed7d492b3871b2.1640723073715.1640723073715.1640723073715.1&__hssc=209128269.1.1640723073715&__hsfp=4223876597
  87. WilliamBos

Rim guard or not? Why a ballast box instead of boxblade?

More pressure is not always better, you are doing more damage via soil compaction. This is why the majority of AG tractors come with Radial R1 which are not loaded. They add wheel weights, leave the tires unloaded so the air pressure can be adjusted as soil conditions require.
  88. WilliamBos

Rim guard or not? Why a ballast box instead of boxblade?

I bought a zero turn last year, can get the grass done faster than with the tractor/rear finish mower. The tractor/RFM are great in tall grass, such as a first ever cut.
  89. WilliamBos

Rim guard or not? Why a ballast box instead of boxblade?

That is why the loader mounts are bolted on to the center of the tractor, the center bears the weight. It is not a teeter totter. Don't lift more than the loader is rated for, you will never have an issue. If I need weight, cast iron wheel weights will be added, tires will never be loaded.
  90. WilliamBos

Rim guard or not? Why a ballast box instead of boxblade?

No weight here, nor are tires loaded. The 1635 seems to do the job nicely, especially on new R1 Tires.

    6.0vs6.6, 6.2vs7.3, 6.4 Hemi

It is a light duty engine, it is not designed for heavy duty work. The new 6.6 gasser has 401 HP/464 torque.

    6.0vs6.6, 6.2vs7.3, 6.4 Hemi

GM 6.6 is a huge improvement over the 6.0. The 7.3 is the Godzilla Pushrod big block, I would not touch a 6.2 with a 10 foot pole. The 6.4 Hemi is a great option if you do not want or need a Cummins.

1635 Massey Ferguson reliability? Comparison to 1835M?

You bid far too low on that 1635. Check the front axle portal seals, and check wiring harnessthat runs along left side of engine to battery. we have 1,100 hours on Dad's 1635 12x12 Powershuttle, did both portal seals and a block heater.

That engineered fuel does not contain benzene, which does far more damage than ethanol. Unlike pumpgas, it is good for 2 years once opened. I lay all of my equipment up on it, and keep some on hand. Even with stabilizer, gas is only good for 30 days.
