Front axle spindle broke today on my B7800

I have abused this tractor for 15 years. I use the loader to Max capacity often hauling my wood racks and spreading a lot of rock. Surprised something hasn't broke before now. Anyone else ever see a broken spindle?

    My Firewood System

Dave, I like your system. I have to use forks which puts the weight out front on my tractor more. Here is my system. I live in the woods so I am lucky to be able to split at the downed tree and stack in the racks. I move the racks into my gagage which has a pass through to my fireplace. I...

Got a little setback today. Took the truck in for an inspection and the mechanic drove it off the lift and did $2500 damage. They are a great shop and were sick about it. It knower over an oil catch barrel and hit a white pole. Poor mechanic was having a bad day.

I would definitely call you a troll as well. For some reason, you have made it your passion to rip apart the new F150. Unfortuanelty you come to the game with little knowledge of the product being discussed. All someone needs to do is look at your post history and get a good idea of your...

    F150 ecoboost drilled my intercooler

Finally got around to drilling my intercooler. It is recommended on an f150 forum and I am glad I did. I did it directly after a 6 hour trip in continuous rain so this is showing the worse case scenario. I am happy to see that after more than 42,000 miles, there is very little oil in the water...

Ford F150 SVT Raptor to return

With the 6.2 liter shelved in the standard version, it will be interesting to see what engine they choose. Best guess would be the 3.5 ecoboost but the similar performing 2.7 liter might be an option depending on the size of the vehicle. I never understood why the previous version raptor was...

    Must remove the hitch?

I installed hydraulics on my truck and park it nose up on the rear bumper and the hitch on the ground. Hitting your head on a soft tire is better than your shin on my hitch. You solved the problem by taking up 4 spaces and I only use a half a spot.

Ford releases fuel numbers for the new F-150

I have only experience with the 3.5 liter version ecoboost and as I said earlier, it is the lowest revving gas motor in any pickup truck built today. It makes peak torque at 2500 rpms and 90% of that peak from 1700-5000 rpms which is why it makes for a great motor for towing. Towing my...

Chevy Colorado --Motor Trend Truck of the year

Not sure why it would affect Ford or even be bought into this discussion as they are not in the same segment, but since you did...... Ford releases fuel numbers for the new F-150

The price spread has deepened lately. Here is what it is at the closest station to me right now. Over $1.00 spread. 40% higher than gasoline today. A gasser only has to get 20 mpg on the highway to compete with the ram ecodiesel with this price spread. I'd take the hemi if a Dodge fan.

    Eco Boost vs V8

I agree and am happy with what it gets. In town, it is really variable based on how you drive. If i had the patience, I can get 17.5 driving around town.
