    TODAYS SEAT TIME

I finally got a chance to use my new to me rotary cutter I have had for a month. This is also my first time using a rotary cutter. It was slow going backing up around trees at first but I was feeling a lot more comfortable with it toward the end.

    Loading tiller/rotary cutter in trailer

Thanks for the suggestions, but in the end the seller allowed me to use his tractor to back the implements up on the trailer. I forgot to get a picture of them on the trailer but here they are at home. They were a package deal. I needed the rotary cutter but not the tiller so the tiller will...

    Loading tiller/rotary cutter in trailer

I am very likely picking up a used tiller and rotary cutter this weekend. They are three hours from my house. The guy I am buying them from has a 42 HP Mahindra but no FEL. He also says there is no significant bank or ditch to back the trailer up to. Options for loading: 1) I could haul...

While we are on the subject of fenders, a three inch diameter vine getting caught up between the fender and tire with the vine still attached in the ground can do a little damage. :hissyfit: Hauling home next seasons firewood.

    B2650 Towbar

I use a longer fixed drawbar I bought at Tractor Supply with the B2920 instead of the Kubota drawbar. If your B2650 doesn't come with one it would be worth a look. A replacement Kubota bar is ~$70. The one I am using from Tractor Supply was $45.

    Dumb Q: Slow Moving Signs

My B2920 has a factory bracket on the back of the seat for mounting the sign. The B3000 you are getting might have it too. I attached the best picture I have of mine.

    TSC fixed drawbar for B2920

I needed a fixed drawbar quick. The local Kubota dealer said he could get me one in three days for ~ $70. I needed one before then so went to TSC to see what they had. They had one that looked like it might work for $45. It worked like a charm. I think I like it better than the Kubota...

    TODAYS SEAT TIME

Removed some sod for a bigger above ground pool with the old dirt scoop. It worked better than I thought it would. It would have worked even better if the lip on the dirt scoop was straight. The "quarter incher" 3pt really shined on this job.

    First Snake of the year

I will be checking underneath my seat before I hop on from now on. This dude was coiled up underneath my seat this past Friday. By the time I got the camera he had moved down just above the transmission. I walked around the tractor to put the camera down then walked back around to get a...

    Help Needed

s219 gave you some good direction and there is also an older post on the forum somewhere that is an excellent explanation of the quarter inching system and how to make adjustments to it. When I find it I will post the link in this thread. Also, the 3 pt can get hard to control due to some...

Here are some pictures from my B2920. Before I get back on it I will put a little grease on the feed back lever. The liquid wrench doesn't last very long.

Buying Advice CAT Challenger MT295B potential buy

I know nothing about Challenger but... If I bought that tractor in decent shape with only 1600 hrs, potentially with a loader added for $2500, and could feel good about getting parts for it, all for about $9000, I would think I did pretty good.

    Tires  Loaded tires on B2920

I loaded the rear tires of the B2920 with rv/marine antifreeze and water this past weekend. I could tell a difference just driving it out of the carport. It just felt more solid/stable. With some ballast on the back I bogged the engine a little driving in to a pile of composted manure. Prior...

    TODAYS SEAT TIME

Prior to the FEL both of these tasks would have been just a little more difficult. I used to get the sawdust by filling 5 gal buckets. Used to be hard work getting it, now it's fun. FEL is a back saver.

B2920 starter will not turn over

The tractor hasn't been cranked in 2 months. Lack of dry weather and opportunity just had not allowed me to get on it. I loaded the tires then was going to crank it up to let it warm up a little before changing the oil. The dash lights come on but nothing happens. I have jiggled every lever...

Oil & Fuel  B2920 front axle dipstick stuck?

From the manual and what I can gather by searching here, this yellow dipstick in the picture (front axle) is just supposed to pull out. I have pried on it with a screwdriver. It just does not want to give. I feel like I am about to break something. I am going to spray a little Liquid Wrench...

Tractors and wood! Show your pics

I have always enjoyed cutting and hauling firewood. Having a tractor has made it even more enjoyable. Not to mention I can get to wood I couldn't before. I don't have to borrow the neighbors carry all box anymore now that I got my own built, which is sized better for my tractor. I still...

Not sure how much. I didn't use the back carrier (dirt scoop) very long. I later borrowed my neighbors box he had built to haul firewood on behind his MF 245. The box sits on hay forks. I plan to build a little smaller box for myself.

Funny. I have some kids that would love to see some snow. Maybe not the amount you get though. I have seen your posts. We have had one snow each of the past four winters (anywhere from 2-5"), but we could go another 10 years before it snows again. I have been testing the B2920's limits. My...

    Finally got the manuals!

I finally got the owner's manuals for my B2920 and FEL. I learned a few tricks from the FEL manual. I had no idea about the float on the loader. That will be useful. I didn't realize I had two speeds on the dump either. All good stuff to know. I have gone back and forth on the tire...

Ballast  18-8.5-8 lawn tractor tire volume

Does anybody know about how much liquid a 18-8.5-8 lawn tractor tire will hold? I have searched the forum and other resources and can't find the answer. The rimguard chart doesn't have that size. Thanks.

Planning to buy a tractor which comes with a Land Pride 1660 finish mower in excellent condition. I don't need the mower. The tractor is an '08 so I assume the mower is also. The tractor only has 112 hrs so probably the mower has not had much use. The going price on tractor house looks to be...

Price Check  Kubota L275DT Price Check

I plan to check out at a kubota L275DT tomorrow. The asking price is $3800. No FEL. Says it has a hydraulic 4 way blade, engine rebuilt 60 hrs ago, good transmission, clutch, and gauges. Does that seem reasonable? Any specific things to check for when I go look at it? Thanks.
