    Deciding between HST & Power-Reverser

I have two tractors, one hydro and one power shift with a reverser. I use the hydrostatic tractor for about everything except if I'm using a ground engaging implement like a disc or plow. My place is on a hill, so yes, if driving in high range with the hydro tractor, it'll be a bit sluggish.

    Vehicle Lifts

I put a Greg Smith 4 post lift in my home shop a while back. It's rated to hold 14,000lbs. It's been great and I use it on a regular basis. There are times that a 2 post would be nice and I went back and forth when deciding which style to buy. In the end I think this was the correct choice...

Buying Advice Purchasing 100HP tractor, JD 5M vs KB M5

I've had the new 5100M for about a month. I haven't gotten to run it much but managed to log about 11hrs with it. The only chores I have done so far have been moving and grading rock on our driveway and moving/feeding round bales to the animals. I mentioned earlier that we have had mostly...

Shop Air Compressor set up questions?

I used Rapidair in my shop and love it. I highly recommend it. Not a great picture but I think it looks pretty good hanging on the wall.

Mini Excavator - What Size and Make

I also bought a Kubota a month after buying our property. The property was neglected for 30 years so it is/was a mess. My mini is a 6 ton machine and while a little small for stumps, a guy can do a lot of work with one this size. I have 400hrs on the clock and can't imagine life without it.

Comparison Engines - What's Your Favorite Tractor Engine

I like the 4.5L Deere. Many applications (tractors, generators, marine, construction) which means parts are everywhere, and they are easy to work on. I just did an inframe rebuild on my dozer and with 6700hrs the internals looked and measured great.

Buying Advice Purchasing 100HP tractor, JD 5M vs KB M5

Well fellas (and ladies) the temptation got me. I signed the papers today. Now the long wait until it comes home. It was a hard decision for sure and the new M5 Kubotas are sure nice too. More pics to come...

Buying Advice  Purchasing 100HP tractor, JD 5M vs KB M5

My accountant (wife) says its time to trade off one of my older tractors and replace it with a new one. This will be a tractor primarily used for loader work and round hay operations. I have Kubota and John Deere dealers close and they are equally good. These are the only brands I will...

M7060 - Can additional rear wheel weights be added if the tractor has cast centers?

Yes, you can add weights to cast centers, at least we did to our M125X. I bought 3 sets that were all going to be put on my M7040 but I didn’t like how the 3rd one stuck out past the rim. I went ahead and put that set on my M125X w cast wheels.
