Am I the only one who can't eat pork

Makes me quite ill, has always been the case although I can eat cured meat such as salami, bacon and ham. It is frustrating when we go to a BBQ and they have smoked ribs and all I get is a salad because almost everyone does pork ribs (we do beef but hard to find beef ribs with some meat on...

    Overheard conversation!!!!

Two of the younger generation: If I miss a payment on the car and the boat I'll have enough for a deposit on a jetski. Ye Gods, what is the world coming to?

    Towbar on counterweight on BX

I often have to shift a couple of trailers/boat/horsefloat around and to make it easier for myself I would like to weld a tongue onto the counterweight on the BX2370. Removing the counterweight is a real PITA, well, more to the point, putting it back on is and if I can just lift the drawbars of...

    BX2380 in Australia

We have had the BX2370 for a year now and quite happy but I have seen several videos on the BX2380 even before I got ours, to date I have not seen one in Australia and the dealers deny their existence. Does anyone know how the distribution works, are they for the USA market only or do we have a...

    FEL Float function

Thanks to this forum this inexperienced operator has finally discovered what the float can do, first of all I never knew it was there and trying to level of some area just saw me scraping dirt and gravel around with the bucket following the course of the wheels resulting in a pretty rough job...

    Any other sailors here?

Mentioned in another post, we both enjoy sailing and have a 23' trailer sailer, Cole 23 (a local craft) fibreglass hull. Claimed to be a 6 berth but you would either need the cast from Snow White or be very friendly, we find it accommodates the two of us nicely although we do sometimes take...

    Stupid workplace safety rules

After reading some posts in a similar vein thought I would share this, we have a corridor at work that is quite dark and has a low wattage light fitting so we can see where we are going, it is also a ramp between levels and has a low (7'6") ceiling. I got to work one day and the light was blown...

    Fire bombing gone wrong

About 30 years ago I worked for a conservation department and one of the pre summer jobs was fuel reduction burns, to do this a small aircraft was used with two crew and pilot, they would have a box of what were like table tennis balls which were about quarter full of potassium permanganate...

    Niggling BX problems fixed

We bought the BX2370 in early February this year and had a few problems: 1. The front hydraulic disconnects kept coming undone and after three visits from the dealer finally discovered that the plate that holds the connectors was mounted too far forward and the front right tyre grabbed the...
