Hello, I hope you are doing well. Is there any chance you can label on this picture the Power, Tank, and Power beyond on the three block looking connections on the manifold? I think my connections could be wrong between the manifold and the loader valve. Thank you in advance.

It's off a '50s Michigan 55A front wheel loader. Would I have to find the same exact carburetor to replace this one or could I just match up the size and mounting and I'd be good?

Thank you! Would the governor have anything to do with how it only runs when the choke on? I took apart the carb and cleaned it as much as I could and it still will only run on choke but I am able to rev it up now unlike before when it didn’t want to go past an idle.

I was just thinking maybe that it had the wrong filter on it and I then replaced it with a similar incompatible filter and that’s the cause for low flow test. But would that similarly cause the lack of pressure?

Could a wrong hydraulic filter installed be restricting my flow?

When I install new hoses do I need to let hydraulic fluid flow with the hose off to get air out or is that not necessary?

What is a PB sleeve?

If I had to guess P is power aka in and t is tank aka out and n that’s plugged would be for the power beyond?

Thank you, I got this valve to replace my existing loader valve, could you just help me understand what P T N stand for? My old valve says in out P. Just need to know on this one which is in and out.

By any chance do you have any idea where I can get a new diverter or know of an aftermarket one I could replace this with?

Power steering also seems to be working a little bit at the higher rpms

I have good news to report: So as well as removing the pump and having someone look at it I also removed all my hoses and blew compressed air through them. Upon re installing everything the rear will still lift slow at higher rpm but it’s holding position not falling anymore

For flow test I just disconnected the metal pipe going from pump out to the diverter. I will try to pull out the pipe that feeds the hydraulic pump with oil and run air through it to clean it out and then also look at where it bolts on the side to see if there’s a mesh filter. The mechanic...

The hydraulic pump shop says my pump has minimal wear on the inside of the case but nothing that looks severely bad. They advised that the problem is somewhere else in the system.

I was able to get fluid out of the hose I disconnected, it was going much slower than my previous flow test so I didn’t bother measuring and also I wasn’t able to pin point which position my diverter should be in. So my first course of action should be to source a new hydraulic pump to put on...

Those three going to the loader valve are these three on the manifold. Bottom left goes to middle on loader valve pic. Top left going to far right on valve pic. Right on manifold goes to far left on valve.

I’m guessing that these three hoses going into the loader valve is inlet, outlet and power beyond. Any chance you can tell me which is which?

Also I just disconnected the hose that would pump fluid into the rams that raise the loader and I got absolutely nothing coming out. Rear three point will still go up very slowly at higher rpms

So the specs are 6.67gpm and at a higher rpm I was able to get 3.75gpm and at idle 2.5gpm straight off the pump

I have a hydraulic log splitter, If I want to bypass my tractors hydraulic pump and try to get the loader operational with the hydraulic log splitters pump and reservoir would that be a practical idea and method of testing the loader valve?

That’s the pipe that’s feeding the pump, I’ve taken it apart before to see what’s on the other side and I put it back together after seeing it’s only a small hole not any obvious mesh anywhere. I will give it another look this weekend when I’m able to work on the machine again. Thank you

If there was a screen on the suction side of things would I have to take off the top of the transmission under the seat area to get to it?

is there going to be another pressure relief valve for the 3 point or is this the only one for the entire system?

Thank you for your help, none of the gauges on my dash seem to be working so I’ll eyeball the rpm. Can you point me to where the relief valve is?
