    LS 4046 hood pictures

In another thread, someone asked me to post pictures of the side of my hood. I apologize, I don't remember who it was, and I couldn't find the thread. Anyway, here they are. I'm sorry it took awhile to get them.

    Your Tractor Progression?

A post in the Kubota forum got me wondering how everyone has progressed through tractors through the years. Here is mine. Tractor has increased in size with my needs and available funds. I started with a Toro Wheelhorse 316, mowing 3.5 acres with a 38" deck. I don't have any pictures but it...

Does the XR4046 have an in-dash clock?

If you have a 4046, you know how easy the owner's manual is to understand. On my dash, the only thing that displays is the hour meter. I always thought it would have been so easy for them to program a clock into the bottom portion of the display but assumed they didn't, until I saw a picture...

    Frost on loaded rear tires?

Is this normal? I noticed this on my loaded rear tires the other morning when it was around 0 degrees outside. The unloaded front tires had no frost on them. I keep the tractor parked under roof but one side of the barn is open.

    ebay snow plow

Does anyone have this unit? If so, is it heavy duty enough to last or will it bend/break/wear out in short order? It seems like a great price for a plow that's already set up for a tractor loader with skid steer quick attach, as well as a hydraulic cylinder to adjust the angle. Plus American...

    Merry Christmas from Santa Claus!

No seriously, I do live on a small farm a couple miles outside of the town of Santa Claus, IN. :) People from the midwest may be familiar with our park, Holiday World. Anyway, I don't expect to be on the forum much the next few days thanks to vacation time, so I wanted to wish everyone a safe...

    LED light bar on XR4046HC

The bulb in my right front cab light broke, so I decided it was a good enough excuse to replace the yellowish dim stock lights with one of those LED light bars I've been reading about here on the forum. I found a 22 inch 120W bar on ebay for $96 (shipped from Denver, CO so I had it in a few...

    XR4046 popping out of gear

Talk about making the heart beat faster. Yesterday afternoon I was brush-hogging a steep bank on the south side of one of our barns, backing up the hill and driving straight down. I mow in 1st gear (hydro) and had it in 4wd. After a few times up and down, I was descending the hill and the...

    Boat storage question

I know I should find a boat forum to ask this, but the collective brain power of this forum always come through. When storing a boat over the winter in an unheated barn, would it be better to run most of the fuel out of the tank and add Stabil, so there isn't as much fuel with the...

    XR4046HC update

I had the tractor at the dealer last week to look into a couple of leaks while it's under warranty and to do the 50 hr services. The A/C was also kicking off after 20 to 30 minutes of running and I wanted to have that looked at. I had a small hydro oil leak from the rear housing. The dealer...

    XR4046 losing coolant

My tractor just started this a week ago. It's a very slow leak from the overflow tank.. I haven't had time to look into it yet, and I plan to have the dealer take care of it under warranty, but with them being 75 miles away it's going to be a bit.

    Brush guard for the LS

I finally took the time recently to add expanded metal to the brush guard of my LS. I didn't worry about finding paint that matches the LS blue as I thought gloss black would look good. The Everlast Power i-Mig 200 is doing very well for me.

We have an old Lincoln stick welder on the farm, along with bunches of old welding rods of various sizes that have sat out in the open for years and years. It came with the place when we bought it and I haven't had the time to try it and see if it works and how well. I'm assuming the welding...

    Trouble updating profile picture

    Picked up the 4046

After a 5 week wait we finally have a tractor sitting in the barn again. The first thing I did was to add my Pat's Easy Change to the lift arms. It attached with no issues. It was starting to rust as it had been on my old Kubota for over a year, so I wire brushed, primed and gave it a couple...

    5/16 vs 3/8 chain

I'm getting ready to buy chain and ratchet binders to secure my new tractor on the trailer, and want to make sure what I buy is heavy enough. Will four 5/16 chains (grade 70) be sufficient or should I buy 3/8? Thanks in advance.

Need help choosing a brush mower

Hi all. After a lot of research on flail mowers, I decided that they would be more maintenance than I'll want to deal with, so I'm trying to decide on a brush hog. I currently have a Land Pride RCR1860 and am very happy with it. I really like the Land Pride and the local dealer I bought it...

    Sicma (Phoenix) flail mowers?

Best size rear blade for L3400?
