Finished the oil change this AM. Greased her thoroughly. Don't forget that front axle center pivot while your greasing. Kubota manual says to remove the plug on one side and send in new grease until new grease comes out the plug hole. Ready to mow again (y)

I got the Bobcat fuel problem fixed and mowed a lower field. Still a little sick so I didn't push it. But it was nice to be out working.

1st mowing of the season today. Needed to get after the ragweed aka golden rod in the lower field before it went full bloom and reseeds. The Bestco 7' flail did a nice job. Felt good to get back in the saddle again :D

Got 3 hrs seat time yesterday mowing for hire with the chain BH. Knocked it down pretty nice. Customer was happy.

My experience with open rock lined ditches is that they tend to fill with earth until the rock is buried :(

I ran my engine speed up to 2500-2600 while using the chain mower yesterday and today. That is very close to PTO 540 rpm marker and the mower cut better than it had previously on lower rpms. #7 hardened chain holding up well so far, may get a second season out of them before replacement.

The broken stainless blade was shining in the sun so I stopped and picked it up...was glad it didn't poke into my tire ! I recall a time when I mowed over a pile of bailing twine... it took me forever to cut it all out of the flail mower o_O

Mowed a pasture for the neighbor lady. The mower found an old T post, a kitchen knife, and a 1/2" PVC riser :rolleyes:. Finally found the right water shut off and fixed the pipe before I left.

Mostly they got ground up. There was a bucket of weeds to dispose of here and there. There is less to haul away and throw in the ravine if I do it more often but I let it get a little tall this time. Tumbleweed and Mustard make up the majority of the weeds.

6 hours for hire on the machine in the last 3 days. 2 evenings and and a 2 hrs this AM. Pretty hard digging in rocky clay roil that was akin to the hubs of hell. Broke a tooth off a ripper. So I'll be ordering a couple of those today. Glad to be done and I got some jingle in my pocket. :)

Supposed to get some seat time for hire this evening. Been 105º today... the cool of the evening could still be an uncomfortable 95. Not looking forward to it as I normally would.
