12LA loader question SLOP in the Bucket!

I'm at the 400 hour mark. My bucket has had some slop since about 200 hours. At first it alarmed me, but after checking it out, then some other non NH tractors I realized it was normal. My BH is still pretty tight though.

380 hours on my TC-24D and 12 LA, same thing. I always considered it normal for all the reasons stated above. I does not affect my ability to do precision work with it though. Let us know what the NH rep says.

Mine too, but I never allow any play in it.

I have just under 200 hours on my 24da and 12la and noticed the same thing at about 100 hours. It may have been loose before the 100 hour mark but i paid no attention. I grease it and lift away. The banging does sometimes irritate me but only when i forget ear plugs.

you can stand in front of the tractor, and move the bucket up and down with your hands 3/4 to 1 inch!

I've stayed out of this thread because I've not used my tractor much this winter (no snow to move ) but finally got out to the garage last night to see what there is in terms of "slop." My NH TC24 has it and so does the Kubota B2910. I think it is simply normal. I notice a similar thing when I drive a fork truck. Go over rough ground and the forks bang like crazy. The FEL bucket has a lot more going on in terms of how it pivots because of the multiple linkages, but I can't see that this is anything but normal.

If it really bothers you, you can drive with the bucket in the level postition or angled down a little. The banging when driving will not be as bad. Gravity will help keep it from moving as much.
