1572 PTO Clutch not Engaging

My 1572 front PTO will not turn on. I took my multimeter to the connection right at the PTO and it is not getting any power. I also tried jumping the seat sensor, and that did not work either. It worked last year. Is there a fuse anywhere I could check? Can I just bypass the factory toggle switch and install an new one right off the battery? What all can shut the mower deck PTO power off?

i've heard of the switch going bad. your going to have to see if you have power before and after the switch. i would use a cub switch and just replace the one thats on there. that way in a few years you can just look at a factory schematic and know whats going on instead of trying to remember what you did a few years ago.

Same thing happend to me this year. Tried to use it the first time out this year, nothing. But i had power to both sides of the pto clutch connector. Mine was a bad relay. It was only $8.00 at Oriellys. If that is the case on yours, The Hella website will give you 2 part numbers for cross reference. One is a German#, and the other one is a US#. Good luck with it.:thumbsup: Use an Ohm meter or take to you local shop and have it tested.
