I have a question, I have owned a 2000 kubota l4310 hst 4x4 for 16 yrs on my 100 acre farm, and it has preformed flawlessly all that time for bush hogging, mowing cleaning out horse barn, etc.
Now my son is moving and wants me to take over his 2013 3720 4x4 e hydro with 7' belly mower, large front end loader, front grapplers, 6' bush hog all hydraulics . Big question is will I miss my Kubota in favor of the 3720 , any input , advice or experience would be appreciated...

Is keeping both not a option? Seems like two tractors on a 100ac farm could come in handy at times.

The Deere is newer of course,so it has more features. Some of the creature comforts may be pretty nice. But you may (or may not) find the 3720 is a bit less tractor with smaller tires, etc. Certainly the two are pretty even on paper. To the plus, the Deere has the e-hydro Hst with more features than the 4310. You'd have to get used to the two-pedal HSt arrangement... shouldn't be a big deal although some people seem to be fussy concerning how the go pedals are arranged. The Kubota is certainly a dependable old workhorse, though. You may find practical reasons to keep both.

Thanks for the response, but I'm afraid the Kubota would just sit in the Barn and whine ...

Thanks for the response Grandad 4, all of what you say is true from what I've seen and heard and I'm a little concerned with the wheel size and "tippyness" I've heard about, but with all the goodies he has with it and the short turning radius, it's hard to turn down, and he paid about 40K for it and the kubota with 1000 hrs should bring about 15-18k so a new tractor for 5k is hard to turn down, thanks again..

If turnover is a worry, try spreading the rear wheels. Even 1.5" spacers will make a perceivable difference, if the wheels don't reverse.
