That is a nice looking truck. My last Superduty was an extended cab and now I have a crew cab. I love the extra room of the CC but I still think the extended cabs are much better looking.

johnk - love the truck. Those are some of the best looking trucks in my opinion. I test drove a 2010 just like it, but with the 5.4l, 3.73's and in burnt orange. I was sold on the truck until I took it up a steep on-ramp. The 5.4L felt very adequate up to that point. It fell on its face trying to merge with 65 mph traffic on a steap hill, empty.

I'm hoping the new 6.2L gas engines and six speeds fill that gap between the 5.4L and 6.8L V10.

I had a F250 w/ the 5.4 and that is why I sold it. Not saying it was a bad engine, same engine just 2 cylinders less than the v-10. It was always hunting for gears when pulling a load. I enjoy the v-10 and it actually gets about 3 to 3.5 mpg better than the 5.4 unloaded on the highway. The 5.4 got better mileage around the city unloaded. I love my f350 v-10. When I load the trailer I know I'll keep up with traffic and it's enjoyable cruising down the road. Prior to the F250 a had a 2002 dodge with magnum v-8. I traded that in for the ford because I thought it would pull better than the Dodge but they were on the same platform with the 5.4 being a little better. Still not a lean mean towing machine by any means. So here I am the owner of a F350 V-10 that I should have bought in the first place. I don't put a lot of miles on so no diesel of any sort is needed to justify the cost of maintinance vs the gain in MPG. Just my opinion on all this and don't want to start an argument.

I could not agree with you more. That Ford V-10 was a great option to the diesel for guys who did not use them a lot. My uncle and you are both great examples. He has a 05 F-350 SRW and only has 50,000 miles on it. He got truck early in 04 so its actually going on 6 years old.

Very disappointing that they stopped putting it in pickups.
