We're building a house on 50+ acres so I felt I needed a tractor for around the house for mowing, maintaining a gravel drive, and fighting the ever invasive Yaupon. I was thinking about 30-40 hp and started researching on TBN and watching Tractor Mike videos on YouTube. I knew 30-40 was light for 50 acres but my BIL has a 95 hp Kubota across the road which would be available if/when I needed anything bigger.
Then about 2 weeks ago I came across a 2014 Kubota MX5100 4x4 with FEL with 122 Hours. It has an extra set of hydraulics which were used for a grapple (I don't understand everything I know about hydraulics yet
). I did some quick price checks and decided to pull the trigger. I paid $20,875 for the tractor and $900 for a Rhino SE6 6' shredder.
Posting to get your thoughts and to put a data point out there for anyone else looking at similar tractors.
