I just bought this '68 MF202. It came with a bunch of implements, one of which is an FMC SX-60
rotary field mower. The PTO engages smoothly (no grinding) with the mower shaft disconnected from the PTO drive, but as soon
as I try to connect the mower drive shaft, the PTO just grinds, and will not mesh, without being forced to do so.
I have aligned the shaft, and leveled the deck so that it hangs well centered and there is no binding of the shaft.
The connection to the PTO drive is nice and loose, but fully coupled.
What am I doing wrong?
