2538B backhoe vs 2538cb backhoe

Hey guys can anyone tell me what difference there is between a backhoe for a cabbed tractor versus an open station, my 2538 is open station and takes a 2538B backhoe attachment, I found a nice used 2538cb backhoe attachment that goes to a 2538 but with the cab, I've been trying to research what's different but not having much luck, I assume the cabbed model backhoe sits further away from tractor due to cab so it mounts differently also I'd ask my dealer but kinda of akward because I was getting prices for a brand new one from him ($7000)

My guess would be that the openstation hoe has a common spinner seat and sets closer to the tractor than the cab hoe with its own seat and sits further back. That's just a guess but I think they are made by KMW and there is a KMW guy that pops up on the board from time to time. Maybe he'll answer up if he sees this.

I don't know the answer to the OP's question, but I have an open station 2538 and the 2538B backhoe has its own seat. I know some tractors have the spinner seat, but not the 2538.

Interesting, the 1538 has a spinner, at least mine does.

On the small kubota's its the length of the control handles on the backhoes are different , Might be that ...

I'm pretty sure with the 2538 backhoe it has its own seat, the gas tank is right behind the seat now, I'll probably end up biting the bullet and buying new from dealer best price i could find after calling 5 or 6 was $6800,, it's a good chunk of change but I had one on my last tractor and the convience of having it there and ready is great, I may look into other brand subframe backhoes, I wish I could get more info on difference between the 2538B and 2538CB because I know where I can get a good deal on a 2538cb, I emailed KMW but no response

The fuel tank location is a point I didn't consider. It behind the seat on the 2500 series but just in front of the dash on the 1500s. I suppose that would effect seating options for the backhoe.
