I think it will be perfect for those tasks, and seems to be the way Massey markets it on their promotional material.
...I have one, and so far I am really happy with it, especially for the price I paid for it.
I think my dealer has one set up with a 7' disc mower, and I pulled a 7' NH 477 haybine with mine.
...The only real nitpicks I have with it, is that with the exception of RPM it doesn't have gauges. It uses "warning lights". I've never been a fan of those, but I suppose I could always add manual gauges at some point if I want.
......other than that I'm plenty pleased with the power, traction, ability, and comfort of the tractor.
