3000 Twenty Cab Beacon Installation

Good evening,

Can someone that has installed a beacon light on their 3000 Twenty cab provide a little info?

1) Is the cab prewired from the beacon installation area to the right console?
2) Where is the connection point on the cab? I know it is on the left side by the mirror/hazard light (from the pictures I've seen), but I can't find the connection.

I'm not installing a beacon light but I am installing two additional work lights to face out/downward to use when mowing after dark. I was hoping to use the beacon connection/circuit for this to avoid some wiring work if the wire size is good for the load.

2)the wires are behind the front work light on left of cab.If you bought thr beacon from JD then the directions that came with it are very simple.It took me about 10 min to put mine on

I used that beacon circuit and wired up my 2 additional work lights to face sideways and down. The beacon connection was behind the left forward flasher and it ran to the plug under the right console (the plug with the orange wire).

How did you secure the extra work lights to the cab? I'm about to add an extra pair of work lights and was wondering if I could just use the same pod as the existing work lights. Local NAPA wants to sell me a light rack to put on the roof instead but it's costly and not very practical for the purpose.

Yes, I think you can use the same connection point as the other lights. The piece of box iron that is welded to the post has 2 holes in it. The factory lights use the top hole to mount and that leaves the bottom hole for our use. I could get the lights turned almost 90 degrees to the side with it mounted in this lower hole. The lights still clear the doors also. Works well...
