Got a new JD 3038E with FEL - just 20 hours. Noticed that when running and not using FEL, the bucket rotates down a mite and needs to be pulled back. When using FEL with dirt, it also seems to rotate a little ... like it's weak. Works when I need it tho.

I had an old 2030 before and its FEL bucket rotated a bit, and the FEL dropped when the engine was off... But it was almost 40 years old.

Shouldn't the bucket hold its position on a new FEL? Are there adjustments to be made, or is the valve faulty? Or is it normal?

Got a 3720 with 225 hours on it and i think it always settled down some. If I have the FEL raised 5 feet it will be sitting on the ground overnight.

Most FEL's have some creep. There are several discussions about it
on this site. Some members have charts about that amount of
creep allowed depending on the FEL. The 305 loader is prone to some
creep as you have found out. Mine does the same thing. Nothing
unusual about it.
