This is strange, I only have about 1" of workable motion, on my 3 point hitch lever.... (The lever will move all the way back and forth) But what I mean is, I can't go any higher than the number 4, and the relief valve kicks in, (implement makes it way all the way up) But I can't go any lower than the number 3, and the implement is all the way down)..... So I don't have a full range of usable movement to my hitch... any idea's what my problem is?

Sounds like problems with the position control, not sure how the new ones work but the hitch should have some type of input to the valve to limit the movement within a narrow range of adjustment. Without this movement the up or down selection on the rockshaft lever would cause to stay open until it is all the way up or down. Kind of hard to explain but since I am babysitting my sprinklers with a bunch of new seedlings I see what I can look up.

Looked up the 3720 and went out to look at my 4520 too and found:

The linkage I am referring to is built into the rockshaft under the cover. Unless you are a decent mechanic this would be a good job to have repaired at the dealership. Is your tractor still in warranty I hope?

Before I took delivery of my tractor (3520 Cab) last spring, my machine exibited a similar condition...except at the other end...it would go do down what I thought would be "all the way"...I was right, the mechanic said the same thing....
Turns out the linkage (cable) is adjustable and mine came improperly adjusted...they adjusted it before delivery and its been fine since. I'd take a look at that.

Another common feature thats not always working is the 3rd SCV Detent...a properly adjusted cable on the 3rd SCV allows the detent to operate...

yeah, remember how I had all the problems with my dealer, taking forever to fix what I thought were minor problems and not listening to what needed to be fixed?

My Control Lever went in the shop working perfectly.... ( but they had to fix my PTO selector) So I think they screwed up my rockshaft lever... I realized this about a month after having it back, but I needed the tractor so bad, after it was in their shop for the better part of almost 3 months or more... so I didn't want them to take it back for another month or so to address this problem...

But yes, the Lever is supposed to be somewhat proportional to the height of the lift links.

"All the way back, means hitch is all the way up"
"All the way down, or close to it, means all the way down"

But Like I said, #3 is all the way down, and #4 is all the way up...

So there isn't a whole lot of middle between #3 and #4 to have my hitch half way up etc... because if I go beyond #4.... you can hear the tractor begin to labor, and the relief valve is kicking in...

What sucks about this, is when driving on the road with an attachment.... you hear the relief kick in, and you try to lower the attachment, just enough to stop the relief valve.. Look back and then you realize the attachment is dragging on the road...

So I wonder what I need to do (or Look for) if this is a cable adjustment issue..

and no, the machine isn't under warranty... even though the dealership did this, I'm sure I'd have a hard to explaining this now to them... I really hate my dealership, the service manager is by far the biggest tool they have in stock.....

Service manual.....

When I installed & adjusted the 3rd SCV the instruction manual included made it REAL easy to adjust...do this, tighten that, etc... in about 5 mins I had it set correctly.
