3M Speedglas 9100x thoughts

I’ve used an import hood for a couple of years (Tacklife I think) but had heard of better helmets.
I caught a 9100x today for 180 bucks new in the bag with everything normally included.
Please tell me I didn’t overpay.
The guy won it in a raffle and had no use for it he said.

Solid hood with a crappy Fiber Metal headgear. Unless it's a very late model. I have a ton of inner and outer lenses for those.

You saying the headgear is from Fibermetal on the 9100X? That is not correct. It is all Speedglas/3M parts. Now if you mean it is similar in appearance or function, that I do not know.

Clarification - Looks identical and is interchangeable. Later they went to a 3 point headgear that was much improved and is similar to all the better hoods sold these days. I have 2 9001X hoods and used to sell them in the past.

I think there is some numbering confusion. The more recent series is 9100. Previous to that for a long time there was the 9002 (and maybe the 9001 before that?). Kinda confusing way to number things, IMO, as they are quite similar.

Yeah I have it wrong. My brain was on the 9000X. Much older model.
