Wondering if anyone has a 3pth Hydraulic fork lift like this one? They seem to be popular as I see the around many farms. For you guys with them are you happy with them and find them useful?

I like the idea of stacking loaded skids on top of each other.

This is for sale locally and the seller is asking $500 for it. It would be handy to load/unload skids from my pickup also to load/unload skids on my haywagon.

I would expect one would want a lot of weight in the tractor if the load can be lifted as high as that in the pic.

Side to side tilt without being good and level could result in a tipped over mess. Keeping a lot of counter weight on the FEL end could help a tip over backwards.

But such a lift could be very handy for a number of things. Looks like a great price. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I use the forks on the FEL for most such jobs. I could use a lift on the 3 ph for firewood pallets double decked.

I have one that I use as a backup, backup forklift on our sod farm. We mount it on the back of a 7200 JD. I hate it, it works as it should, but I hate it. If you dont need it much, it will load a tractor trailer load of sod in a half hour or so with a half skilled operator (me). It handles the weight very well, but maneuverability (mine has no side shift) and comfort (loading backwards) is where it sucks. I'd rather have a capable FEL with pallet forks, but most FEL's are not all that capable either.

I have a gnuse F-50. Rated for 5000 lbs. Mine will lift about 10' on the ag tractor including the 3 pt lift (7' lift with 3' of 3 pt lift). Yours looks like it will lift higher. With a hydraulic top link, they are handy and can get that extra height. Important to keep good front end weight and don't lift high except on fairly level ground. That is especially true if using a CUT or utility tractor.
I put a HD skid steer to 3pt adapter on mine and use it on my compact NH wheel loader. The loader weighs 13,000 lbs and can lift to 12'. Now I can use my work platform and can get 19' of lift height.

I also have a 4' Woods model that has skid steer plate to fit on my toolcat. TC lifts 7' and the 4' forklift will get me to 11'.

$500 is quite cheap IMHO. I would jump on it if you have a use for it.

Gnuse now makes the F-40. Not as HD as the F-50, but the basic design is the same. Gnuse Mfg. Inc.
