Anyone have pics of where they placed a toolbox or chain bucket on their 3x20 cab tractors?? I studied for over half an hour tonite and am still lost.

For reference... I have 300CX loader and front mount 59" blower, so I would like things to stay on the tractor and not have to swap back and forth when I change from blower to loader. Thanks.

Ok... solved the toolbox issue tonite thanks to my wife:thumbsup:
I had a Craftsman soft sided canvas tool bag that came with my cordless drills, that was just laying around not being used. Well I'll be darned if it didn't fit just right in the cab between the seat and main control console. Easy to get to and easy to take to the job at hand... also has nice little compartments for small stuff and dividing things up so it's not a mess to find a 9/16" end wrench;)

As for the pry bars and spud wrench that won't fit in the bag... well here is what I did for now... pc of scrap 2" PVC pipe with the end heated up with propane torch and crimped together at the bottom by the bench vise and a couple hose clamps to hold it.

Working on the chain bucket/box right now.. going to be mounted on the right side of tractor under the right door, mounting holes are already there so no need to drill into the cab or tractor. Just need to drill the holes in the bucket/basket tomorrow and paint and mount it. I did double up the expanded mesh on the bottom due to only having 16ga mesh on hand. Built with 1 1/2" x 1/4" angle iron and 1/4"x 2" flat bar for the added height. Total measures are ... 17"X7"X3.5". Will post pics later of install.

JJ:

Have you got room on the left side of the seat for a 6-pack of beer?

I noticed your rear blade's parking stand was factory painted black. May I suggest you paint it bright yellow as a reminder to raise it before use?

This is what happened to mine when I forgot to raise it. The green paint of the 1" diameter stand blended right in with the green paint of the blade and I overlooked it. Deere/Frontier/Woods wanted $40 for a new one. I made three news ones for less than what the dealer wanted for a factory replacement.
