4050 w/FL9 FEL question

Son bought a new 4050 with the FL9 FEL. It will only do one function at a time. Can't raise/lower bucket and dump/load bucket at the same time. Uses a joystick control. Can move the stick in a full circle, when near the lift position boom will lift, as you move the stick toward the side, lift function stops and curl function begins, as you move the stick toward the bottom curl function stops and lower function starts. Is that normal?

Can’t tell you for sure as I don’t own one. If it was mine I’d pull the shrouding away from the valve and watch what the joystick linkage is doing, see if you can make both spools move at same time. Generally I’ve found the joystick controls that go direct to valve are a little easier to dual function than cable operated.

I have a CT4045 - same frame. Mine does the same. I guess that is why they are cheaper?? I hate it but have gotten used to it. It has been good overall - at 150 hours now.
