The seals on my 46 BH stabilizers are leaking already. Only about 20 hrs on the unit. Are these easy to take apart and install new seal kit? Anything tricky here? Looked at the blow up view on the JD parts layout. Looks pretty basic. Wondering if this is the nature of these and replacing the seals may be a waste of time as the seal kits look to be about $65 each and hate to see them leaking again in 20 hrs. Thanks in advance.

Any chance the stabilizers cylinder rods are dinged or damaged? Those cylinder rods are fully exposed and susceptible to damage from rocks and boulders in the spoil pile. I had a 46 BH for a while on my 2720 and was very careful to avoid dropping any large rocks near the stabilizers because of that. The #8 & #10 BH's I had in the past had cylinder rod shields. That being said I did have a bad swing cylinder seal on my 46. It started leaking at about 5 hours. The dealer gave me the seal kit and I changed it out in a couple of hours. Easy repair.

Thanks SuperGlide, the rods appear to be smooth and clear yet may have been dinged up. I will look closer. Don't remember anything big hitting them but it's hard to say. At least it sounds like they are not too hard to work on.
