4700 - u can call me \"Owner\"

4700 HST w/ 460 FEL and 48 backhoe has arrived and is working-- all I can say is AWSOME!!!!! The 4700 is a great piece of machinery. Over the last several days I have put about 20 hours on the machine scraping, pushin, and stackin horsey doo-doo and snow. The HST tranny is fantastic for doing loader work.
My only complaint is the loader joy stick keeps getting bumped by my leg when I'm rotated in the saddle to operate the rear blade. Not sure how to correct the situation but will probably heat (w/ torch) the riser rod and bend it out of the way. Also plan on rotating the rear tires to the #4 or 5 position this weekend for a bit more fender clearance (for chains)and side hill stabillity.

Thomas - Iv'e had a tractor for many years - just sold my IH340 utility - this is the first tractor that I've had with front wheel drive and a tranny other than a mannual w/ clutch. The 340 also did not have power steering which when using the FEL for moving snow was a bit challenging to say the least.

What year was your IH340?
Indeed they are utility tractor also very well built.

I bet you stay warm when moving snow w/ no power steering on that old girl. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif
