5' or 6' landscape rake?

Hey Guys, great forum. I have a JD 2320 and I'm getting a landscape rake. The question is 5' or 6'? Any advise?

What brands did you have in mind ?
Any much difference in price ?
Buying used or new ?
I like to over size my attachments in case in future get bigger tractor,I'd go 6' just MO.

Countyline from Tractor Supply, $450 for the 5', and $500 for the 6'. The price differance isn't realy a factor. I am going to buy one or the other tomorrow. Just looking for a some input before I do.

I have a 2520 and I borrow my neighbors 6 ft rake and the tractor handles it with no problem. But when i tried to rotate the rake 180 degrees to rake in reverse, the rack hits the rear tires. I actually had to dismount the rake and turn the frame 180 degrees and remount to the tractor. A big pita! Something to think about.

Go with the 6' rake. I have a 7' on my CT-122 with no problems. :thumbsup:

I have a 7fter on my CT 120 (same size frame at the CT 122). Works great. If you find it is too long cut it off.

Thanks guys, I'll probably go with the 6', the reason for considering the 5' was getting into some tighter spaces between trees and such.
Going to sleep on it.

I have a 5' Frontier and a 7' Lienbach and would vouch for the tines being better on the Frontier. With about equal use the tines are still straight inline on the Frontier but are crooked on the Lienbach. Landscape raking will go pretty fast with either a 5' or 6' model so if it were me I would get the smaller one that will fit in more places.
