5045E - 3 Point Control Lever Doesn’t Stay Up.

Hi, I was baling hay yesterday and notice the control lever for the 3 point was continually moving to the down position allowing the arms to move down also. When you move the lever it feels like there is no tension on it so it can just vibrate and travel down. Feels like a spring or something broke or unhooked. I haven’t had time to look at it yet I just put the adjustable lever stop in the highest position to hold it up. Has anyone else had this issue.

Probably friction washers need tightening.. (adjustment).

JD parts is available for free at JDparts.com. See link below. It appears item 9 are friction washers that require tightening of bolts for tension to hold control handle in desired position.

Normaly those bolts break and the the lever wil be loose
