Nick,
I just purchased a 2305 and have the same blade and would like to use your mounting configuration. Have you found the additional bracing adequate after using the blade?

Thanks for your time. jg

I know its an old thread, but I was wondering what you ended up doing for hydraulic lines? I have a 54" power angle off a 322 and need to get or make new lines to get back to the 2305 hydraulic connections.

Welcome to the neighborhood.

Give your friendly JD Dealer a call, there may be a "kit" to do what you want to do. Reroute the old hoses and screw on a short hose making it long enough to reach the quick coupler.

I called my Two of my "friendly" JD dealers. One quoted me around $300 for the lines and fittings off the plow built for the 2305. Not kits to upgrade either. The other suggested I see if the fittings on the current lines would work with my tractor and have new lines cut. They do fit and I will be having new lines made. Im having the bracket fabbed at a local welding shop and a local shop where I used to work will be making the lines for me.

If you look back at one of my previous posts to this topic you'll see that I scrapped the whole thing after I bought my front snowblower. I adapted the blade to the QuickHitch that Deere uses for the snowblower. That way I can switch between the blower and blade very easily.

I eventually gave the bracket I made to someone else on this forum that asked if I had a template for the parts I made. It was just sitting on my scrap metal pile so I was glad that someone could put it to use.

I still needed the longer lines that I had made up at my local Napa parts store. This was not the cheapest way to get the lines but they were the only place open when I decided to do this on a Sunday.

I got my hoses today and hooked up to the plow. Everything works great, now I just need my bracket back from the welder. I did notice that my trans fan was gone while I was working on the machine today... I did not want to find that oh well. Parts on the way looks like and exciting fix.... I have found a few posts around I think I'll try dropping the drive shaft.

Heres what I did:
I made a cardboard template based off of a tracing from the tractor the plow came off of. I believe it was a 322.

I had originally asked a local weld shop to make the bracket for me but he could not get steel for me in a timely fashion without charging me more for shipping so I had a friend who is quite handy tackle it for me. In the process he buggered up the hooks with the plasma and he had a friend who owns a CNC plasma table make reinforcements for the hooks and the upper holes. Here is a pic he sent me showing where the reinforcements would go:

Here is a picture of the pieces as they came out of the box. Apperently his friends company includes cookies with their products:

Here is everything just about done:

He welded a tube across the bottom for strength and welded nuts onto the side for the braces:

Heres a test fit on the tractor. Note the bolts threaded into the nuts welded to the side of the frame:

The diagonal braces are a shallow C chanel I got at TSC for a few bucks. They are nice and strong and dont interfere with the steering. I had originally wanted to use angle iron but saw this today while getting bolts and it seemed like a good alternative.

It moves stuff that I have piled up around the driveway quite well. Now I need to get some snow to see how it really works.
