I have a '51 8n that when its cold will start and run for 20-30 seconds or so then shuts down abruptly. While its running is fairly rough and squeals real loud like a fan belt. I've removed the fan belt and it still makes the same noise.
It does this while the clutch is in so I dont think its anything back half related.
It has oil. it has new wires plugs, coil, condenser and rotor. I have not dropped the oil pan yet to take a look, no fun when its 15 degrees.
Kinda stumped, crankshaft bearing? distributor shaft?
Thanks
