Spring is almost here! If you haven't already done so, Remember to check the battery hold down and the alternator/fan belt on your tractor!
Also any leaves, grass, fluid leaks or anything else that could could cause a potential fire or explosion.
My tractor doesn't have a seat belt, but it has a ROPS. If it had a seat belt I'd wear it. I always have on equipment.
It would be a good idea to inspect the seat belt for tears, dry rot, or whatever else. Also the mounting hardware (brackets, nuts, bolts, etc) and the ROPS. If anything is bad or questionable, replace it. Don't take chances. This stuff does save lives!
Besides the fuel filter, engine oil/filter, power steering fluid/filter and hydraulic oil/filter, I want to mention something that rarely gets spoken about that gets forgotten...
If your tractor has an Oil Bath Air Cleaner system, don't overlook it! It's one of the major factors, if not the main factor in the life of the engine. Get that thing cleaned and serviced immediately! Protect your investment or inheritance!
Happy Seat Time,
