I have the greens machine thumb on my GC1725, and used the diverter kit from the dealer. It uses a replacement control knob, best way to go. I installed it myself in under an hour. Very pleased with the thumb. Best advice I can give is to reinforce your bucket before installing the thumb, it's stronger than **** and will bend the top of the bucket.

Did you put the diverter kit on yourself?

I put a diverter on the rear of my Massey. At first I just used hoses to the front, worked great. Still have curl function as well as extra for the hyd blade control. Needed the splitter when I aquired rhe ditch mower, required two controls at the rear. Don't see the advantage when losing the curl/dump function. The rear control also lets me utilize the float function for the flail while doing uneven roadside ditches. Different strokes I guess.

I installed my diverter myself. It was about an hour. I used a trailer 4prong pigtail for the wiring.

I did. Took under an hour, piece of cake. Don't forget the thumb does not come with hoses, you'll have to have those made, i made my measurements and went to parker and got them. make sure you measure at full extension (bucket tipped forward) and add couple inches slack
