Kubota L4701 4WD HST
So I bought/ordered a Kubota L4701 HST. I am having the dealer install a 3rd function on the front. I will be adding a BH in about 3 years. I'm thinking of also doing a TnT kit for the box scrape. My question is...Is the TnT and BH hydraulics 2 separate kits or is there a kit that can do either one so I'm not installing 2 kits?

You won't be using the hoe when you have the TPH on and vice versa. One pair of remotes is all you need. Nice to have two (or more) but disconnect your hoe and hook up your Tnt and you're in business. I have a hydraulic top link and a back hoe. When I install the hoe I take the hydraulic TL off, connect the hoe to the remotes, put on a mechanical TL and complete the installation.

If I was planning on using any other TPH hydraulically operated implement besides the Tnt, I'd certainly add another pair of remotes.

Will any kit do this or is there some special kit that will run the TnT and the BH.

If you are going to actually get a top & tilt set, that will take 2 sets of rear remotes. Top link cylinder and side link cylinder.

Yes you can use one of the rear remotes to supply fluid to the back hoe. You will need to find a way to latch (bungee cord?) the valve in the open position.

I suggest that you get all 3, but 2 at the minimum and both of those should have the float feature.

Good luck.

I forgot he was getting a full TnT, yes two remotes for a TnT, one for the top link and one for the side link. My remote was purchased specifically to use the hoe and have it available for my Top Link, the levers are equipped with detents so, when I use the hoe, it locks the hydraulic valve open. When I use the TL, I push the lever whichever direction I want the TL to go, then return it manually to the center position. If you use your hoe more often than the TnT I would recommend these - you can also use the bungie method suggested or make a detent clip to swing in and hold your lever in the open position.

Now, not only is the dealer installing the 3rd function on the FEL, I'm having 2 remotes and Top and Tilt installed. I need to stop reading these forums and watching youtube videos.

I really thought the title was about my wife...

My first thought was about years of eating whatever I want...and lots of it! I wouldn't be so foolish as to publicly attribute this indulgence, or the results, to my wife, though!
