Advice 479 Haybine broken wheel axel

Here is my problem. May NH 479 Haybine wheel broke off, broke the spindle/ axle inside the wheel hub, trashed the bearing as well.
It appears to be a common issue, but I can't get the spindle/axel out out of the frame. I removed the bolt and pounded both sides. Won't budge. Tried WD40, still not budging. Thought maybe heat to expand the frame?
Not sure which way it comes out. Any advice would be appreciated.

It'll come out whichever way you can get it to move. Heat it, let it cool. Put a pipe wrench on the stub and get it to turn. LOTS of heat.
