I have been searching CL for a trash pump, and not having much luck
I am sure that Harbor Freight probably has something, but I have never had much luck with their stuff

I just need one once in a while and I hate to pay big money for one

Anyone ever found a good inexpensive one?

I would like to find a PTO one, but the only one that popped when I googled it was multiple thousands of $$$

I have a 2 inch H.F. clear water pump and a 1inch pump from them also both are good working pumps.

I've got one of the HF 2" pumps and a Honda 2" pump. The HF is 4 years old and the Honda is about 6 years old. So far (knock on wood) the HF has been as dependable as the Honda.

I bought the HF because at the time, I needed another pump badly and they were the closest and quickest available to me.

I'm sure that over the long run, the Honda will still be running when the HF has worn out, but so far, both have been very dependable on starting, running and pumping.

I have a Honda 2" trash pump - WB20XT. Been using it for over nineteen years and it never fails to start. Have not had to replace anything on it - just change the oil once per year. I see they now list for $429. It easily pumps 150 gpm. Use it to pump a large pond that forms at the end of the driveway. Normally takes 14-16 hours of continuous pumping to empty the pond.

I chose the 2" pump over larger ones because the accessories - intake hose, discharge hose, intake screen, hose end fittings - were only expensive. Going to the 3" or 4" pump these same accessories become insanely expensive. And this pond that forms is only a nuisance, not a flooding danger to anything.

I have a 2" General pump that I bought from Northern Tool about ten years ago. It is used to fill four 250 gal totes for drip watering the gardens about every two weeks all summer long, depending on the weather of course. The tanks are about 30' above and about 150' away from the stream where the pump draws water from. So far I have not had any problems with it.

bought one of these
7HP 3" 2" Gas Water Pump Semi Trash Pump 3 inch Inlet Outlet NPT Pool Marine | eBay

I also have a 2" Honda pump that I bought in1999. Started enlarging my pond and knew I was going to be pumping a lot so I started searching for a replacement. I was able to use the 2" hardware I had from the other pump till a 3" kit that I also bought on ebay arrived. I don't understand how they can do it for the price. free shipping and no taxes.

I had a champion 2" pump for dewatering a work site. Every rain would cause the pump to run for 8 to 10 hours. The pump ran great for nine months. Project ended I I sold the pump for $50 less than I bought it for

I bought mine from Northern Tool. I forget what brand it is, but it has a Honda engine that starts every time. For me, the Honda engine is what I'm paying for, and nothing else is as good as Honda.
